I have had a few minutes to update the FE interest list this morning. We just finished the Fantasy's First Christmas cruise (22- 29 Dec 2012) and are booked for the 21 Dec 2013 edition. Our Family consists of 5-- Cathy and Carlos, son Alex will be 18 and daughters Sofi and Libby (17 and 15). This will be our 9th Disney Cruise (3rd Christmas!) and we have never done an FE--seasoned cruisers, rookie FE-ers. In fact...we just figured out what an FE just prior to this last cruise (too late to join that one--so we would like to join this one early!).

Happy to answer any Fantasy questions while the cruise and ship are still fresh in the memory banks. It's an amazing ship! Carlos

OK...Here is the Facebook info, updated as of now.

This should help you find it, after you have received permission to join. I have the security set on the FB site as "CLOSED" to "SECRET" so nobody can see what we post or what we're talking about...they can just see that there is a group titled Disney Christmas Fantasy 2013, and who's in it, but cannot see anything we are doing there.

You can search for the group in the FB search bar as Disney Christmas Fantasy 2013. When you find it, please click on "Join Group". This will send the administrators of the page a message that you want in! We will FB message you directly to get your disboard username and cabin # so we can verify that you're legit. Then, you're in after we approve your request! Easy!

NOTE: If you click this link now, you will find that the link takes you directly to our group page so you can request to join, but you can't see what's going on in the group! (Proof that our security measures are working!)

If you would like to have access to join the FB site, you can also directly PM (Private Message) either myself (Tonja McDonald Parkin) or Rebecca Gansle (Rebecca Blackmon Gansle) or her husband (Brian Gansle) through Facebook, and we'll approve you!

Be sure to include your DisBoard username (so we can verify you) and your cabin # (if known at this time) in your message!

Sorry for all of the top secret security. Some families are nervous about a FB group for security purposes, so we have hopefully alleviated these concerns with a CLOSED group.

Rest assured--once you are cleared to join, it is a snap to find the group page because it gets listed in the left column of your Facebook page under groups, and you will be notified of activity in the group via your FB notifications.

We are planning to move any/all cruise FE business over to the FB page, so we are hoping to find you all moved over within the month! We will leave the DisBoard open, but will post more in FB than anywhere else, for ease and convenience.

I'll look for the other forum here shortly. Crazy travel schedule the next few weeks...so I'll be slower than my normal slow! As for the Fantasy's First Christmas....
The cruise was typical DCl---fun, relaxing, and entertaining. With older kids, we have fully transitioned out of the lab, club, edge, vibe, and stack years which they all enjoyed so many times. This new way meant a lot more family time by the pool (and aqua duck!), dinners and shows. Disney goes "all out" with the holidays---decorations, gingerbread house making, Santa, midnight mass, special menus...the list goes on. This was our first time on one of the bigger ships ('twas just the 40th sailing of the ship) and WOW! The details, the technology, and the shows! AMAZING. Our restaurant staff and host were, not surprisingly, incredible. The biggest and one of the most pleasant surprises...we all feared that the ship,would feel crowded after our Wonder and Magic sailings...it did not! And finally, for now, it was really nice that only 2 and a half laps gets you to a mile!
