Following Teamubr's lead , with December only 2 weeks away, I'll start.
We will leave Delaware on Dec, 6th and spend 3 days to arrive in the vicinity of Disney. Our overnight stops will be in locations that we know work very well for us. Considering that our departure day somehow tends to be overloaded with last minute things to get done is a short travel day. That and we have DC to bypass and Richmond Va. to go thru we only and then clear Pink Stuff from the lines once we arrive our 300 mile trek is just about as far as I want to push it. Day 2 takes us to the SC-Ga Border for 375 miles of travel. Day 3's Destination for us is a new one. Cabana Club Resort in Auburndale Fla ( Ed that Florida not Far Lower Alabama ) . We will stay there from Dec 8 thru Dec 17. While there we will take advantage of our AP's for Universal Studios and maybe if the weather is somewhat cooperative a trip to Gatorland Zoo. A day at SeaWorld is also on the Table as is giving The Savages a bath. Grocery Shopping , getting the coach washed and waxed and Meeting up with Strathman50 are all things we will do.
After arriving at Disney on the 17th Plans are getting a lot looser than ever. Park time till after New Years will be very limited, Focused more on the Holiday Decorations than attractions . EPCOT will be the significant exception to that. On the 22nd we will tour World Showcase for the National Holiday Traditions highlighted in each nation and sampling the food from the kiosks.
Christmas Eve is a personally important day for us . We will celebrate with Lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Our biggest hope is that CM "Honey Bee " will be working and our waitress. Her beautiful rendition of HAPPY BIRTHDAY is guaranteed to bring tears to your ears. From there it's back to the Fort where The Girls will be a part of the Puppy Parade and then escort me to the Golf Cart ride of shame. ( They know the Ranger that has Cookies and will share with them while she invites them to show off how pretty they are while compelling me to be in the ROS for riding around in a Decorated Golf Cart

In on post #2!

Mike, of course @tiggerdad would love your commentary and textual posts but @Teamubr likes pictures. Lots of them.

Just a feeling I get. :scratchin And I agree with him.

Bama Ed

PS - would love to set up my folding chairs and see the "Ride of Shame" pass by. It would be wonderful!

Pictures YES!!! Definitely update on the Savage Sisters

Ed sorry to disappoint you with a pictures from next months trip. I tried to connect my crystal ball to my laptop but have the wrong cable. Same crystal ball says the required cable is sitting on a container ship somewhere off the coast of California and will be unloaded sometime in in the next 12 months.

Christmas day will start like everyday for me at the Fort. Up early and take the Girls to the Dog Park then a breakfast in the coach Lucille makes pancakes inside while I do the Scrapple and Eggs outside. Then its off to tour the Holiday decor of the Monorail Resorts. Followed By dinner at Whispering Canyon. Then later in the evening watch the Fireworks from the beach

Maybe then try a Magic 8 Ball? We are BOTH old enough to remember those.

Let's try this together.

"Oh Magic 8 Ball, does Mike REALLY think Ed is not old enough to qualify yet for old folk's discounts at restaurants, movie houses, and Costco?"

Well howbowthat? :confused3 Magic 8 Ball still uses dial-up.

Who knew? ;)

Ed

PS - so pictures if/when you can, Mike. Thanks and good luck on the way down to Disney.

Forgot On the 23rd we will be be in EPCOT for The CANDLELIGHT PROCESSIONAL. Reservations for the Dinner Package option was next to impossible. They opened at at 7am on the 26th of Oct. , but only could be made at 4 restaurants . So on the given day I was both online and the phone at 7am . At 10am I finally got through on the phone and got a message that all the allocated slots were sold. I have continued to try online and did Secure an CP- ADR but for our 3rd choice Biergarten.

So we decided to do a last minute change. Instead of leaving Monday as we originally Planned now we are leaving Sunday. Found out the Washington Deadskins I man Football Team are out of town this weekend. That and less traffic in DC and Richmond combined to have us leave early.
Made some phone calls and got our regular stops adjusted and added another. So Carolina Crossroads on Sunday followed by Camp Lake Jasper Monday and new to us KOA in Kingsland Georgia. The Girls are going to spoiled here They have 1 site that has it's own dog park and I was able to reserve it.
We will follow this up with 9 night at the Cabana Club resort in Auburndale Fla. Stratman50 has given this place a glowing report and as they are being merged into the MARGARITAVILLE Resorts family I have high hopes.
These days will be spent having the coach washed and waxed along with doing initial shopping trips as well as a visit to Universal, Sea World, and weather permitting Gatorland Zoo

Good thing you are retired so you can change all those plans. I did not realize you were about to leave, but it is Dec already.

Sounds like you'll be roughing it, Mike. I'll put you down for time-and-a-half Hazardous Duty pay on your timesheet. :scratchin

Ed thanks for the Hazardous Duty Pay but it's not required. As an Old Paratrooper, Jumping into the unknown, surrounded by danger, securing the way for those who follow is just what we do.

Mike, so you're leaving tomorrow/Sunday? Safe travels, my friend.

I kid you, of course, because I know you can kid me back like the BEST of 'em!

Have an uneventful journey south and try to relax at the Cabana Resort, okay?

Ed
