December 2013: We just booked!

I'm VERY tempted to go to Universal one day... I originally planned to do that but then plans changed and we're bringing my 76 year old dad for his first time. I think he would LIKE Universal but he wouldn't do any crazy rides... I really wanted to have breakfast with the Grinch. We're on the deluxe dining plan though and it's hard enough trying to fit in enough meals let alone taking a full day away from Disney. I may still do it. I would have to take off our Downtown Disney day which I don't think anyone would really care if they missed it.

No, we've never done December before. We did October last time, which was awesome, but I really wanted to see it all done up for Christmas! I can't wait to see all the decorations and lights! :) What are you most looking forward to?

Early - Mid December is our favorite time to go! It's great, you'll really enjoy it I'm sure! The lights and decorations are amazing!
This is a first time thing for my husband so I'm really looking forward to seeing how he'll like it. Hopefully he adores it as much as the rest of our family...then we can start planning our next trip!;) ...Well if he doesn't like it, he just won't come with next time! HA!

Sign up for airfarewatchdog. They will send you daily airfares and you can choose from a specific airport to specific location or just a whole bunch of airports to one location (i like that one because I am driving distance from a few). It is still really early and some airlines don't even have their schedules out for December yet so I would keep checking! We are probably driving again but I'd rather fly so I am hoping for some deal that is just too good for DH to overcome his fear and fly. :)

I've heard that December's airfare's will start coming out in June, but i hope they come out sooner.

I actually started looking this weekend for airfare. Most were not out for December, but did find prices for American Airlines. I couldn't believe how high the cost was...over $200 per person for one-way. More than double what I paid for in 2011. I really hope the prices come down over the next few months. I booked in July last time, so maybe it will.

I just booked my rental car, so it feels like it is getting so much closer!!:)

I really need my vacation now!!!:dance3:

I booked US Air in January. For 3 adults round rip with one plane change including taxes and fees it was $1,000. We had also looked at Delta and United. Did you check any of those out?

I just booked United Air out of Syracuse, NY for 4 people for $1000. for December 12th and return the 22nd. I figured I wasnt going to find any cheaper, so I grabbed it. We dont have SouthWest or Spiri tAirlines in my area. I wish we did!

in my searches the only airlines that have posted fares so this early are delta and american. i'm waiting until next month when spirit, jetblue and southwest get their fares up for december. hopefully that will help bring things down!

We are booked for Nov 30 to Dec 8th, but I am probably going to drop a couple of days at either the beginning or the end of the trip, depending on airfare and other considerations. I looked at prices today for that time period, and it came out to about $369 per person. When we went to WDW last month, it was less than $150 per person, so I'm definitely waiting until the SWA deals come out.

I have a question for anyone who has traveled on Thanksgiving weekend. Nov 30th is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Will that be a horrible day for air travel, or will it be okay? I'm really worried about going to WDW on that day.

We are booked December 8-15 th. Beach Club Villas. We are treating my cousin, his wife and two boys, as well as my aunt and uncle to a stay with our Disney Vacation Club membership. It will be our first time visiting during the holiday season and it was be our guest's first time visiting WDW. We are all very excited!

I'm late to the party, but I am booked with my DH and my DD3 for AKV Kidani House, 1 BR Savannah view December 1 - 6!! :cool1:

I booked the same dates at AoA back in October, but just decided to rent DVC points and I'm so happy I did! Can't wait to take DD on her first Disney vacation, and can't wait to stay on site for the first time! :)

We're booked for December 20th to the 25th (leaving on Christmas day is no fun but flights are cheaper) at the Beach Club. Can't wait! :cheer2:

We've booked a 2-bedroom Standard view villa at Bay Lake Tower (our DVC home resort) for Dec. 22-26. Hoping to swap that for a 2-bedroom at AKL Kidani Village Dec. 22-27 when the 7-month window opens up. We've got the 21st, 28th, and 29th booked at the Baymont in Celebration to round out our stay. If our travel party shrinks, then we may be looking at a smaller unit.

We are going Dec 21-28, staying at AoA! It will be our first Christmas away from home and family, but no snow sounds awesome!

Booked our hotel (POP) last week for Dec 22-28. First family vacation and for some being on an airplane and out of the country of Canada.
At this point, I'm the only one excited about the trip.
Plan, prep....and countdown :)
