okay ya'all how bad are the lines during mvmcp for character meet & greets, I hope i get to meet them all, I prob will be ariving by 6ish, my must characters are mickey n minnie dressed in their christmas outfits
the princesses & their princes basically cindy auora belle aand rapunzel, and jazmine n seven drawfs.

At our last Halloween party lines were about 30-45 min.for Mickey. Dwarfs are always 60-90 min. The best bet for the dwarves is to line up before the party starts. If you're getting there at 6 there will likely already be a line. I never do princesses but I would guess they're somewhere between Mickey and the Dwarves.

Thought I would share all my planning craziness with people who would understand.;)

Dec 13: Dad and I arrive around 1pm. Heading to Epcot. Dinner at La Hacienda 7:15 pm.
Dec 14: MK in the morning. Lunch at The Plaza 1:05pm. Heading over to the Disney Studios where my nephew and his friend will join us for the rest of the trip. Fantasmic, then over to Epcot for evening EMH.
Dec 15: AK in the morning. Lunch at the Rainforest Cafe at 1:15. Then hopping to Epcot for the night. Dinner at the Coral Reef at 7:30 pm.
Dec 16: MK all day! Breakfast at the Kona Cafe 8:05 am. Dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern at 5:40 pm. Then enjoying the Christmas Party!
Dec 17: Epcot in the Morning. Lunch at Le Ceiller. Over to MK for night time EMH. Hoping to be able to do the Wishes Dessert Party.
Dec 18: Disney Studios.

Even with Free Dining, I have a lot of stuff to pay out of pocket for.:scared: I figure lunch at the Plaza and breakfast at the Kona will be the 2 I should pay for myself. Not to mention the Christmas Party tickets and the Dessert Party tickets. It sure adds up fast!

Has anyone been to Fantasmic! in December, not during Xmas week but around the second week? I'm wondering how soon we would have to get in line. If it's at 6:30, would 6 be early enough?

Us Ohioians need to stick together :dance3:

That's a good start. Once I figured there is an iPhone app for DISboards, it became even more addicting.

Quote of the night from my dad: "If you spend as much time on your schoolwork as you did on planning your Disney trip, I wouldn't need to worry." My reply: "But dad, I had a 4.0 GPA this summer..."

He was just giving me a hard time :)

Absolutely! :)

I knew i couldnt stay away completely, but i'm just checking in on my subscribed threads.

I told my DH a couple nights ago that I could really be an expert on something or learn some new skills if I spent my dis time on something else. But it just wouldnt be as fun. :confused3

Nice GPA. :cool1:

After this December? No, not yet. We went on our first trip in 2010 and this is our 2nd trip. I made the ticker for BDL's birthday this year and when his birthday came and went and it just reset itself, I decided to keep it. If we're lucky we will plan another trip in 2014.

Yeah i guess it does say birthday, not trip. Ooops. :)

I agree!!! You get your package amount but then there are still all those extras. Will probably pre-purchase Photopass also. DH didnt realize we need to pay tip on all those "free" meals too. So that was a chat we had the other night. Yikes.:scared1:

So happy!!! DB came over yesterday and we were chatting about Disney, of course. His restaurant pick was Rainforest Cafe. He decided yesterday we didnt have to go there, so I switched it to Boma. :cool1::banana: And we decided to hop to Epcot for dinner one night from DHS so we get another Epcot restaurant.

So much better. I personally have never seen the appeal in the Rainforest Cafe.

I'm trying Boma for the first time on this trip. I'm really looking forward to it (and so is DH).

Boma is one of our favorite restaurants... I do not care for buffets - but I love this one! It has a good variety and all has been well prepared. The atmosphere is great and we love it. It's a must do on every trip.

WORD, on the out of pocket expenses. We'll still be paying out of pocket for 3 table services...Kona will be a cheaper one, I figure. We're thinking of sharing a TS at 50's Prime Time Cafe, then I think we'll pay oop for BOG if we can get the ressie. I chose that one because dessert is included with the entree ;) The problem is the Candlelight Processional Package and Cali Grill are 2 Table Credits each :crazy2: Fortunately I already have our MVMCP tickets but will still have to wait for them to open up the Wishes Dessert Party for December.

When Fantasmic wasn't every night of the week we allowed 90 minutes off-season. But looking at Robo's recommendations were going to cut it to 60 this trip. He does say you should be ok in the 30-50 range but you'll likely be at the outer edges or the back. Fantasmic crowds just don't really dip below a certain point.

I was working last night, and came down with the worst case of laryngitis I think I've ever had. I wasn't yelling or anything, just got sick. I came home and went to bed, trying to sleep it off.

I just woke up, and came to check DISboards...and realized I'm going to have a really hard time trying to get BOG reservations tomorrow AM if I can't talk at all. This will be interesting...

Do it online! That's what I'll do and I can talk :)

The Rainforest Cafe was an ADR I made for my nephew. He has always asked when we were at the Animal Kingdom when we were going to eat at the Rainforest, so this trip we are! Must be a guy thing!:)

I'm glad someone else asked about Fantasmic, I was wondering about the timing too.
