We are coming Dec 1 staying til Dec 9 at AoA Mermaid. It is my d, dbf and myself.

Hi to all the new December buddies!:grouphug:

I'm looking for some good guide books/hidden mickey books for my 10 & 11yos. And possibly something for the 6yo who is just beginning to read. Any suggestions?

Also, what do you use to plan? Any special spreadsheets, planners, lists, websites, etc. that you love? I love planning, planning, and over planning! :rotfl:

I'm also thinking about a few extra special touches for the kiddos to make it extra magical. I checked out the goody bags that someone made (sorry, I can't remember who right now, but you know who you are!;)) which are super cool & I can't wait to see your 12 days of Christmas ones! I love the personalized notes from the different characters. I'm making special outfits for each of the parks including US & IoA, and possibly for each DAY because I love to sew & apparently I'm a bit crazy. Okay, a LOT crazy!

Just booked the non stop direct flights. Love Jet Blue. We can't wait to be at WDW again 12/7 -12/15

Hey we'll probably be running into each other at the hotel! If you hear "McKenna!!!! McKenna" like 100 times in a row stop by and say hi! (My DD2 name, LOL) :rotfl:

Does anyone know the cost of a small Christmas Tree from the Disney Florist?
All I am finding on the Dis is info on a large tree for hundreds of dollars.
We are going to be at the Poly Dec 21 - 28 and I thought a table top tree would be nice to have in our room :goodvibes

Just called and got the OFFICIAL release date for SW. May 21st they will open up dates for December and about 3/4 of January.

I just checked JetBlue and I can get a flight for $160 Non Stop from Boston. I hope that 1) Southwest Rates are about $140(Wanna Get Away Rate) and if not 2) Jet Blue is still open May 21st! LOL.

You can add me to the list! I had been watching, waiting and hoping for a pin code before I booked. I knew we would be going Dec 2012 but I was willing to wait to book to see if that magical email arrived. And..........

IT DID! I received a pin code this week. I confirmed the dates with my parents and then called to make my reservations that same day.

This will be our first trip with extended family. My parents haven't been since 1998. So much has changed since they last visited. I'm super excited to share our trip with them. I know my kids will love having them there. And DH and I have a baby sitter for at least one night. Side note: What to do at Disney without kids? So many options. We can ride all the height restricted rides together. Head over to Jellyrolls. Maybe have a nice dinner out.

Unfortunately I my first and second choice of resorts were unavailable with my pin code. But I'm 100% okay with that. We're just sleeping there anyway.

Thanks for checking! I wish it was sooner, but oh well! So I wait!

Why is everybody 2nd tier-ing JetBlue? Granted, I am (as they say) Pooh Sized and I am partial the extra room. And the free TV's that also have the Channel and a GPS on it helps pass the time. And this may be a provincial like towards them, but they ALWAYS have direct flights from Logan (Boston) to MCO. Having flown other flights before, I was always used to stopping in Raleigh.

Granted... they aren't always 100% punctual, but I love the ride.

And I can't wait too book our flight for Dec.

Now... If they can just get a little more bad press to lower the prices, I'm golden. ;) :woohoo:

Awesome! Now I can mark it on my calendar! Thanks so much for calling. Hopefully I'll know what city I want to fly from by then, too. :cool1:

Btw, I saw that the October hours for Parades fireworks, and EMHs were just added today ... I really hope that doesn't mean that we won't know the EMH's for December first until June 7! Really would like those so I can avoid parks with morning EMHs for my planned lunch ADRs. How hard is it to change ADRs after the 180 day mark if the hours they post don't work with where we want to eat?

I use the following websites... touringplans.com, easywdw.com, wdwent.com. I also use Allears.net quite a bit for dining.

I am not 100% sure on the table top tree cost, but yes, the larger tree is about $500.

Thanks for posting that date! I assumed it would be late May/early June, but now I know for sure.

You can add me to the list :goodvibes:

ASMu arriving 12/13 for a 6 day stay.

It'll be my(27) first time in WDW at Christmas and my DBF (25) first ever trip to WDW. in 2010 we made an impromptu trip to DL at Christmas and fell in love with the decorations. I cannot wait for December!!

Looking forward to MVMCP and CP in Epcot :santa:

I booked using a pincode for Free Dining during our stay. For those that subscribe to the belief that pincodes often are the precursor for a general public offer, it looks good!

Awesome news about the pin!! So what are your dates and where are you staying so I can add you to the Roll Call!

Btw, I saw that the October hours for Parades fireworks, and EMHs for April were just added today ... I really hope that doesn't mean that we won't know the EMH's for December first until June 7! Really would like those so I can avoid parks with morning EMHs for my planned lunch ADRs. How hard is it to change ADRs after the 180 day mark if the hours they post don't work with where we want to eat?

Which calendar were you looking at? The one from the Disney travel agent is the earliest and most consistent that is posted the earliest. Link in my 2nd post on this thread. I think that one will go live around mid May.

please add us to the list we are planning a surprise visit for December 1 - 6 (dates not set in stone) for our two kids DD 7, DS 5. We have been to WDW multiple times but never at christmas. We are hoping to stay at AKV just waiting for DVC confirmation.:santa:

please don't post: change of plans already.

Count me in.

This will be our first time going during the holidays. We will be staying at BCV from Nov. 30- Dec. 9th. We are looking forward to spending the holidays at HOME :)

Who did you get your flights thru?

We are flying US Air out of Philadelphia. The tickets are $264 per person round trip. I was worried about the airfare going up, so I didn't want to wait until May for AirTran and SouthWest to come out with their prices for December. I had been watching airfares for a while and told myself that if saw anything for less than $3OO per person I would book. We have flown US Air several times and they have worked out well. Plus you get to book your seats when you purchase your tickets and they don't charge extra.

I purchased a small, table top sized, pre lit, pre decorated artifiicial tree at Eckard drug store. I know that I have seen them in CVS also. They are not hard to find and they come in all sizes. This one came packed in a nice box that actually fit into the bottom of my suitcase. It is about 18 inches tall. We have taken it with us every time we go to WDW in December. I leave it plugged in all the time and it is such a pretty welcoming when we come back from the parks. Also, it makes a great night light. We have purchased mini decorations from WDW for it and they just go back into the box with the tree. The best part, is that the tree cost under $10.

What are the dates for the pin? I've been hoping for one so we can stay on property, but am certain they will blackout the dates I need! TIA!

Target also has a really mini tree that fold up small like an umbrealla size. I am planning on picking that up this year for WDW and then using it on our dining table the rest of the year :)

Also, I don't have anything against JetBlue! I find it to be a nice airline! I flew that for my honeymoon and we enjoyed the leathery seats and in seat TV screens! The big factor for me in making my airline purchases latley is leaving from Manchester, NH. It is soooooooooo easy. And convenient, and so stress-less. It's an easier trip than Logan. Thats about it. I have nothing against Logan, or Jet Blue and would fly from/with either. But after flying from Manchester it is obviously my secoind choice! :)

And all you people who are getting pins  and, I want one!!! :confused3
