we went to wdw for christmas 2009 and it was fantastic. we went to disneyland for a week this december and it was fun too. but wdw is better for us...so we are planning on going back!!!

who else is going? we are hoping to fly from seattle (we are from vancouver bc)

We're thinking of going from Dec. 23 to January 10. We are definitely going from Jan 2 - Jan 10 since we have a cruise booked on Jan 3rd. But we're now thinking of making it a long vacation over Christmas. Too much drama here over the holidays...

We are going somewhere....just not sure yet where. I am looking at renting DVC points for the first time. We like to try new places and things when we go to places that we visit frequently. The other option might be to go to an island all inclusive but it will all come down to cost.

We are!

We have a trip in Jan 11 for 11 nights and are buying AP's. So we figured we will use some DVC points and have my brother and his family and my mother join us for 10 days in the early part of Dec 11.

We will be there at Disney's Wilderness Lodge for a night before our 7 Night Western Caribbean Cruise!

Long time no see. I sent you a PM. hope to hear from you

We are hoping to get to WDW in early December 2011 for a week or so. I have been debating on the timeframe. I really want to be there at Christmas as we have never before seen WDW at Christmas. I was thinking the first week in December after the US Thanksgiving. I am afraid that it will be the Pop Warner week and we will most likely be staying in value so my dates may change to mid-November so we can still see the Christmas decorations and all the Christmas events - or most of them anyway.

We went in 2009 from Dec7th-Dec12th, and we missed the Pop Warner crowds (tail end) and it was absolutely fabulous. Never waited more than 5 minutes for any rides, and it was truly magical to see it all lit up. It was a quick, fun-packed trip.

We are planning to drive down in December 2011. Leave PEI on Dec 9th and return Jan 3rd. We are staying offsite

Thanks for the info! I have read that the Pop Warner contract is up this year and that they may or may not return to Disney - it may not be an issue, but if they return, I would prefer not to be there at that time. I am very excited at the chance that we may be able to get to WDW this year and during Christmas! I am hoping for the same vacation as you were so lucky to have in Dec 2009!

Looking to go on the Disney Dream around Dec 16. As this year was very cool, has anyone been on the cruise in Dec? I am worried that it will be to cool to swim and enjoy ourselves.

Hi,

We aregoing on our 1st Christmas trip!!!!:santa: We usually go in April into May. I decided, we should go to see all the wonderful decorations! Also, the parades and MVMCP!:wizard:

I am so excited! I picked the resort this time! ( we take turns picking :rotfl:) I picked the BC!:woohoo: I know some say its not very christmas like but I love the look of the place! We eat at Beaches every trip and tour the area.:yay:

Now the count down! Usually we are counting down starting after New Years. Its 319 days out!:scared1: Its tempting to book for April!

We had a great time last December 2009, 2 days CBR followed by 7 nights on the Magic. Dec 2010 was not as nice, but the weather was not the greatest on either of those years for the times we went. DW and I also discussed DK's attitude and their attitude of expecting these trips but not really appreciating them. So, we're going down to WDW sans kids!
You can say I'm an evil parent for not bringing them, but heck we worked hard for the dollars to go on the trips, we're already booking for Dec 2012 DCL so it's our time to do our own selfish things!
Likely doing POR after US Thanksgiving or maybe before for DW's b-day.

Just need to find care for the DK's while we're gone.:rolleyes1

I would love to go to WDW without the kids - my DS (16) probably wouldn't mine but my DD (4) would be very upset. We never really do anything for ourselves - but I think I might wait a couple years before we do WDW on our own. I can't wait to go back - we haven't been since Aug 09 and never at Christmas - my husband just started back to work after being laid off for 1 yr 1/2 so I am hoping and praying he will continue to work and we can save for Dec 2011!

We are thinking of going from Dec. 10th to the 21st. But we will look more closely come the summer. :)

Just booked Treehouse Villas for 6 nights just before Christmas. Hope to get three nights at VWL to follow.

Now to get some reasonably priced flights. It would be nice to know if, and when, WJ will be offering direct flights from Edmonton in 2011/12

CanadaluvsDisney / Tower
We did an adult only trip last June. It was great. (We had annual passes so we enjoyed the parks but did not feel the need to 'get our money's worth'.) Very relaxed trip.

We are We are...I hope! Been there 3 times in December and planning a 4th for Dec 3-11! Nothing like Disney just before Christmas!
