I am ready to book our trip for December 2011, but would like some input on which week may be better. We were thinking of either Dec 3-10th or Dec 10-17th.

I see that based on 2010 info, most of the 1st week would be blacked out for FD or other discounts. On the other hand, would it be more crowded going the 2nd week closer to Christmas?

Regardless of the discounts that may come out we are going to go, however, if there is more of a chance of FD or anything, I'd book for the later week. We are planning on QSDP & would have to pay for 3 'adults' and 1 child.

Thoughts? Thanks!

There's something going on first week...Pop Warner? Cheerleading Competition? It's the same thing and same time every year - someone will know and post here. I think it's Pop and I'm pretty suer they take over the All Star Hotels.

It is Pop Warner and we have been that week for 3-4 visits..ther have never been any discounts that week other than our AP discount on room. If you go that week, the parks arent too bad except on Sat or Sun at the beginning or end of the week. We enjoy going then but then again we do have AP passes so the FD doesnt do us any good.

Thanks for the info :goodvibes

Does anyone know about crowd levels for these 2 weeks? Is one more than the other? I wasn't sure if getting closer to Christmas would be very high or not so much. :confused3

Here's what I pulled off touringguides free site: First week of December this year, Sat the 4th to Sat the 11th...both Saturdays are 5 & 6 (out of crowd level of 10) and most of the week in between is 1s and 2s. Saturday the 11th to 18th is again 5-6 on Saturdays, several 1s, but also a few 5s during the week. The crowd levels are based on the most popular attractions and I'm wondering the spikes in crowd level coincides with MVMCP dates. Overall, there's not a marked difference between the two.
