December 2011 Check-In

Our airfaire dropped by $500 by flying home a day later...so we added a day to our trip! Its kinda funny that we still save $ with the add'l hotel room cost!

We will be staying at Paradise Pier Hotel 12/25 - 1/3.

We have 8 day passes and are also planning to do a tour to Universal studios.
I wish that there were day tours to Big Bear Snow Play, but that doesn't seem to exist.

Does anyone have any other day tour suggestions? We will not be driving.

My coworker told me today that I need to get the family gloves to keep warm at night....is that true?
:santa:

Me and my family are going December 11 (12/11) to December 17 (12/17) at Grand Californian Hotel. I certainly am hoping for a little lighter crowd especially during the week! It'll be awesome!

Ok folks! It is the 2-month countdown and I'm getting excited. I haven't been to disneyland for 20 years and we are taking our 6 yr and 8 yr old! Time to start making the packing list, looking for fun things to do there and order the kids' surprise goodies to await them in the motel room. I'm taking some advice and ordering the ear hats and t-shirts and other goodies ahead (on sale!) and sneaking them into the hotel room! can't wait to see Disneyland decorated for my favorite time of the year!:cheer2:

I'm pretty new to these boards, and this is my first time posting on this thread...reading all these posts gets me so excited! :santa:

I live in SoCal with my husband, son and daughter. Even though we live close, we still have an annual Disneyland Christmas trip every year, for a weekend. One day isn't enough to enjoy all the decorations and holiday festivities for us!

This year we are going from Fri. Dec. 9th through Sun. Dec.11, and staying at the GCH! So excited!

We will be there from Dec. 20 thru Dec. 27. We are staying at Best Western Park Place Inn. We were going to stay at PPH, but had to cut costs somewhere. This will be my first trip to DL as well as my 10 and 12 yr olds first time. I am so excited.

December 12- December 16 2011 --- Desert Palms :D

So excited! We haven't booked yet (we have to wait till friday(oct 21) for a friend's travel papers lol).
While my boyfriend and I go to Disneyland all the time for living in Arizona we have yet to go during the holidays. So I was wondering if any of you guys had any special holiday tips and secrets, must sees? I was also wondering about great dinning options?

Sorry this is my first ever post (surprsing for being the disney nerd that i am:rotfl:) I'm glad to find a bunch of people with my mind set :)

Our trip will be December 10-17 (six days in the parks:eek:!) I can't wait! December is getting close, guys! :dance3:

I will be there December 7-11. (Getting married at the Grand Californian on the 8th!) :)

Jessica -

I had to change my dates to dates that work better for me than the previous ones I had booked.

I'm still at the PPH, but my new dates are 12/4 - 12/11 (I will probably cut that down by a few nights to 12/4 - 12/8, but I am reserved up to 12/11 right now). I'm planning to catch the Candlelight Processional on 12/4.

My dates have changed as well. I'll be there 12/6-12/7 at PPP.

Same time as you Sherry :)

Yay!:cool1: Well, you know...I am trying to work something out with a certain DIS'er friend of ours (both yours and mine) to be there with me on 12/6 - 12/8 at PPH, so cross your fingers that it happens! It's looking good right now!

:cool1::cool1: It feels like more of a Christmasy trip to me when it's all in December - silly, I know, but that's how it seems!

The only downside for me is that I was curious to see if this much-talked about week immediately following Thanksgiving (starting 11/28) is as delightful as I've heard, crowd-wise. I will get there too late to find out, but that's okay. For this year, the December week I have now will work better for me.

We have our first December park hours posted! Woo hoo!

December 1st: DL 9:00am - 9:00pm
DCA 10:00am - 8:00pm

Only about 10 days until they start to get around to my dates!

Even though our days in dL don't overlap some of our holiday dates do. It is so great though that you are doing an all December trip. last time we did the Sunday after Thanksgiving to the Monday after the CP. When we got home we missed the Christmas spirit. So even though we know the crowds will be crazy, we just have to try Christmas at Disney.

Now I am also wondering whether Aulani will get all prettier up for Christmas?
