Me! Were hoping for December 9 2010 10am ceremony at the Yacht Club Gazebo but are flexible with dates that week as all our guests will be in WDW for at least a week.

Hi! I'm December 14th! We are having the wedding at the Yacht Club Gazebo and then a small reception at the Attic. I still need to pick a place for the desert party in Epcot. I'm having issues deciding on that one!! Did anyone get their wedding consultant yet? Ours is Pam Pierce, I spoke to her on the phone on the 15th and then she emailed me the starter information! I’m so excited we are only a year away!!!!!

Awesome! How many people are you having come to the Dessert Party? That dictates where you can have it.

I'm planning an escape bride so I have to wait another 4 months!

Same here! Hoping for Dec 14 or 15th - but we're also waiting to see when there will be a Mickey's Christmas Party.

Are any December brides having issues with their dates being during the holidays? I really want a December wedding but I have heard from a couple friends (including a potential bridesmaid) that December isn't ideal because of the holidays and already having to spend a lot of money on Christmas shopping and what not.

Anyone else had any issues with this? What should I do about it? BTW, I'm aiming for the first week of December.

It's a really tough place to be for any December wedding. I know this may sound "snotty" but it's your wedding, your memories. After visiting Disney in December 2007, we were hooked and knew when we wanted it. We're only doing an Escape wedding (around 15 guests) but we told everyone, "We're gonna be here, if you can make it, the day will be that much better, but if you can't due to work, school, kids, money - we COMPLETELY understand."

Thanks for the insight!! I am really intent on having a December wedding, and I'll be able to give sufficient notice (2+ years) since we are really saving up for it - it's definitely a dream of mine, so I think our guests will just have to suck it up.
