December 2008 Code Watch

Just phoned and made reservations for Dec 18-23 at WL! Hooray!!!

We might end up canceling one of the nights. We have to decide whether we're coming home or going to visit family in Florida for Christmas. At the holiday prices, cancelling one night might just pay for all our dining! The room rate from the 18th (AAA discount) and the 19th (no discount) doubles! Egad! But we don't want ds to miss more than 2 days of school.

We've gone to WDW for the past 3 spring breaks, but we can't afford to go now and in December. I have to be strong and get through the next 2 months. Anyone else in the same boat? Must think December, December, December.....

Off to chip off the ice on our walk. Expecting rain tomorrow, then cold and more ice, then snow, cold, snow.......

We are staying before cruising on the magic as well. We sail 12/6 on the Eastern itinerary.

I called disney a few months ago and got a special for dec. 2008 starting dec 7th 2008 . the cm was very helpful in finding me this discounted rate

So I did a search and it does not seem as though anybody has started a December 2008 code watch yet.

I am hoping to stay at the Wilderness Lodge from 12/1 to 12/6.

I booked a few months ago and the cm found me a discount code. I am going down on dec 11th - 16th. this code starts on dec 7th 2008

Going 12/5 to 12/13... tried to book WL concierge - nothing available. Tried to book AKL concierge - nothing available. Settled for CR Bay Lake Tower view with AAA discount. Guess I will keep trying for AKL. Ever since they turned some of the rooms at AKL into vacation club, I have not been able to snag a concierge room and regular savannah view are tough to get too.

I don't have a code yet, crossing my fingers to get one. We are planning to go Dec 6 to 14. The dates I am seeing for the discount, if we ever get one , are dec 7 to 14. Would I still get this for the 6th and 14th. I am planning to do the package with dining.

He looked it up and said we had a 40% off code. I asked him to check our dates which are Dec 6-13. He checked and said the code started on Dec 7th, so he checked and said all of the discounted rooms were sold out for that week. The only other resort they had was the Beach Club, which is a nice place, but we are a big MK family and my husband has his heart set on the Poly. He said we could keep checking back to see if anyone cancelled, which I doubt will happen. I am so bummed that we missed this deal. 40% is a huge deal. Does anyone think I will be lucky enough that someone will cancel? I am keeping my fingers crossed!!

I would say for sure some people will cancel. Keep checking back. I would try Mondays that is when a lot of people do their cancelations I have heard.

Just got laid off on Friday!

Will be looking for all and any discount on everything.

Maybe I can find good flies or rental car.

But still will not hold my breath with it being Christmas week,

Got the 40% off code!!!! It was attached to our name and I kept calling and someone must not have paid their deposit or cancelled!
So we got the 40% off, we had to change our dates ahead one day to leave on Dec 7th and come home on Dec 14th but it was worth it for the discount. I did not know it was off the room only, I thought it was off the whole package price, but still a great deal!! Saved us alot on the room rate so hurray! Thanks to all who said to check with reservations for a code next to our name!!! So I will have to change my countdown clock for one more day but who cares???? We are going to disney and staying at the POLY!!!!!!!!!!!

We got a 20% off code shortly after receiving our planning DVD. We were originally scheduled for Dec 6-14 but Guest Service says you can't arrive a day early with a code (although you can stay after it expires at the full price rate). We have a room only for 12/6 and our package/dining package runs 12/7 to 12/14. We will just hang out by the pool the first day and pay OOP for our meals.

Hi, just clarifying some info if you don't mind, I'm new and am still learning. Did you already have your reservation booked when you called? I was wondering if once you have paid your deposit for a reservation at one resort are you able to then use that deposit to switch to a different resort?
