December 2008 Code Watch

We are also going on Dec 7 to the 14th. Poly. I did not rec. the code that a lot of people got yesterday. I am keeping my fingers crossed though.

I'm going that time too staying at WL for the first time. What code did some people get?

We are booked in at the WL for Dec 9-16th, did ask on the code but there was none attached to my name. The WL is really hard to get a code with anyways, I got the 40% off last year and I ended up switching from the WL to the Poly as it worked out cheaper at the Poly with the discount! Also tried in 2005 but ended up with the public code not working on WL by time I got through so went to POFQ. This will be our 4th Dec in WDW , we always go sometime between the 7th and the 17th, so if anyone wants to ask anything regarding that time I'll do my best to answer! It's the best time of the year to be in Disney! Cant wait again!!!

I booked WL for Dec. 14-18 with a AAA discount. The price was $215 a night taxes included, so it seems to be about a 15% discount, am I right? (Would be $192 and then 12% hotel tax). I asked the CM about a code attached to our name/number and she said, no.

Did anyone get the Disney Visa discount last year at WL in Dec? If so, what did your rate end up being?

We're interested in going to Disney for Christmas again this year....just got back from a Christmas vacation but it's getting quite expensive for four adults.
Does anyone know about codes for 12/20-12/27?
How do you find them?
Do you have to book your vacation first and apply a code later?
How do you book with them - through a travel agent or through Disney.
What kinds of codes/discounts do they offer?

Most codes expire before Christmas so I don't think you will have much luck this year. There used to be a loop hole where so long as you checked in while a code was in place, it carried through your entire trip, but that isn't the case anymore.
