December 2008 2008 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Cancelled

I just called and struck out again on the three I am looking for:

a later CG on 12/6 for 2
an earlier LeCellier on 12/7 for 6
an earlier Narcoossee's on 12/11 for 2

The CM told me "If you are faithful to the system, the system will be faithful to you."

Then, I called back because I realized I had the wrong date I wanted Boma for. I asked for an opening on 12/10 for either 2 or 4 adults and I scored one for the group of 4! YAY!

I think I had the same CM. He told me people will start cancelling now because they overbooked (2 or 3 TS in aq day can be a lot). I would love a later dinner for Princess Storybook, 1900 Park Faire for Dinner instead of breafast and drop WCC dinner for Chef Mickey's Breakfast.

I will keep trying, but I am happy with my current reservation.

Is WCC any good? DH loves BBQ.

WCC is a blast. The food was good too. Be sure to tell DH to ask for ketchup.

You mean keep the ADR for yourself and move it another day? You can only switch to another day if there's availability for your party size.

I have seen posts where ppl switch nights and I am not sure how they do it. I dont want to cancel it just yet but would prefer the other night. I do keep calling for cancellations. What is meant to be will happen I suppose lol. Disney is for fun not stressing about food I suppose

Generally if DH and I need to switch I call Disney Dining and ask if there's availability on such and such a date. If there is, I tell her I would like it, but need to cancel a different ADR. If there's no availability, I just keep what I have. To switch an ADR with a different person, I've been able to change the name on the ADR or I just give the person my name and confirmation number.

I finally lucked out on getting a ressie today for 12/13 @ 7:30...but...I would like to see if anyone would be willing to trade for 12/10 instead. We are leaving 12/14 early in the morn. I'm not sure with a ressie at this time how late we will be out.

I got very lucky this morning and was able to get LeCellier for our trip to WDW. Not on the day or time we wanted but I still GOT IT!!!! And a CP to boot. A CM had told me a couple of days ago that the CPs will cancel first because of having to give a credit card guarantee. She suggested that I try to look for CPs, and apparently she was correct.

So that required me to have to do some ADR shuffling. I did not cancel my Kona ressie because I wanted to post that ADR here first. At lunch today, I called and got a different Kona that was not ideal, but I figured I would try to make it work. Well when I got home this evening, I decided to try for an earlier Kona on a different day, and got lucky again. So now I have 2 Kona's to offer as well as 2 of my other original shuffled ADRs.

This is what I have to offer. I will have to cancel in the AM, because I don't want my ADRs to get cancelled due to double booking.

All party of three:

12/24 Ohana 4:10p
12/26 Kona 7:35p
12/26 Yachtsman's Steakhouse 7:30p
12/27 Kona 5:35p

Still trying to get a CRT for lunch around 2pm for 3 on 12/5/08. A friend of my DS9 broke his sword from CRT so I would love to surprise him with ADR. The whole trip is a surprise for him.
