December 2004 - what to do?

We are new SSR owners (got our permanent cards last Saturday!!) and are planning to go in December - apparently, so are MANY others! Dec. 15 is our 20th anniversary, and WDW is where we want to be. We were thinking of VWL for our first choice, but we can't reserve that until May because of the 7-mo. window thing. BCV or BWV would be our next choices but again, the 7 months. Should we reserve SSR at the 11-month date just to be sure we get something for the dates we want, then try to switch to one of the others at 7 months?
I might add that we're going to SSR in September and wanted to try something else for our anniversary.
What would some of you experts do?

I'd book at SSR so that you know that you have something, and try to switch over at 7 mos. I'd call right at 7 mos. though, because if there are any rooms left, they'll go fast once they open up to everyone. Good luck!

You need to take advantage of your 11 month window right now. That is one of the busiest times for DVC. It will be very hard to VWL, but if you have SSR, at least you will something to fall back on.

Heck, maybe we can switch... I already my 1BR booked for December 2004 @ BCV!

I would book at 11 months for SSR and then try to change over at 7 month to VWL. You might have to try to add day by day at the 7 months so call as sson as you can for the first day you want to stay and so on for the rest of the days.
