December 11, 2008 - 3 Night Wonder

My mom booked this cruise about 2 weeks ago :cool1: . I dont know our room number since last time i checked we have a guarentee.. This is about my 8th or 9th disney cruise. Havent been on it since september for my 21st birthday. I need my disney fix and to relax since theres so much going on here..
Cant wait to meet you all. I would sign us up for the F.E but since i dont know the room number that might be a little hard to do. haha

hi lisa, or leelee,

Yes we can hang out and have fun, my brothers wasnt really on the pull, he was just hoping there would be people his age without kids. and I see there are 2 more guys in their twentys traveling with a group.

we like going out clubbing and enjoy a few drinks so we'll see you on board!

In Nassau we didnt book any excursions but plan on finding a beach and visiting a few bars like senoir frogs and the arawak fish fry, I read online you can get a platter of fried fish and a beer for about $10.00, i know theres plenty of food on the ship but we thought we'd share some bahemian food and get a few cocktails, and do a bit of shopping and be back onboard by 3pm for the kids clubs.

on castaway cay me and my brother are doing the jet ski tour, should be fun! but ill be hanging around the family beach , i think he will head for serenity bay. pirate:

hey pooh bear, welcome aboard!

its great that you got your picture on here, you dont need a room number, we'll bump into you onboard!

as you've been on the disney cruise befor, what is the night club like? what music do they play? I can dance to most music but would prefer r n b, chart music, funky house, that sort of thing, something that i can shake my booty to. :cheer2:

I can only speak for what I saw on the Magic (I have done two 7 night cruises there - a western and an eastern) this will be our first cruise on the Wonder. However Rockin' Bar D (Wave Bands on the Wonder) played a pretty good mix of everything. Some nights were themed (80's night, etc.). It was always a lot of fun.

I don't know how it will be on such a short cruise, though. It was great on the 7 night when you got to know the servers...and they would see you and know what drink you wanted.

Today is my last day at work before vacation...and it is going....soooo.......slow..............................................slow..............................................slow..............

We leave tomorrow night for Florida! :yay:

YEA!!!!! I can't wait to meet everyone!

As a word of caution -- plan to dress in layers when coming to Florida. We have had cold fronts passing through and it is chilly when the sun goes down and then warms up to mid 60s low 70s in the day. Tuesday night we had a frost warning and I had to scrape frost off my windshield Yesterday morning! Then again -- I've lived in Flroida long enough that I break out the parka and gloves when it drops below 65!

One week from right now and we will start boarding!

Oh, Florida weather!

I remember some of that craziness from my years down there. It is funny to think that there were time working the Jungle Cruise that we just FREEZING going around the river and then a few months later it would be so sweaty humid nasty hot that you were just gross. The heat from those engines would just sit under the canopy of the boat and you felt like you were going to melt. Even the nasty Jungle Cruise water looked refreshing.

Anyway, it looks like I am going to be packing a wide assortment of clothing!

It looks like we will be boarding on Deck 1. This may make the afternoon a little crazy since the main gangplank is out of commission. At least no one was hurt. The details are on the main cruise forum. Even a rare picture of the captain in shorts and barefoot. Let's hope for good weather on our trip. Everyone travel safe.

Thanks. I cant wait. Yeah that is true. Im sure we will bump into each other. Also ill pretty much be in the club every night because im cool like that. haha

Ive been on both the Wonder and the Magic.. the 3 and 4 nights are a little different then the 7 night. Like they dont do the skit if i was not upon the sea..I love to dance too. Just dont like dancing alone its weird haha. but yeah As far as the music they do play all sorts of music from 70's- todays music.. You can also request music to be played and they will play it.

LOL

Yeah, it was a good time. Almost 2 years of it is just a blur....you see, I spend almost two years as a Cast Member in attractions at Disneyland Paris. Living in France was the greatest 2 years of my life and it went by SO fast! But I got to work on one of my favorite Disney Attractions (Space Mountain De La Terre A La Lune....the original, not the "new" Mission: 2), open another attraction (Cherie, J'ai Retreci Le Public....otherwise known as Honey, I Shrunk the Audience), and I also made a good friend in Disneyland Paris Imagineering...who was able to get my name printed on an attraction! So, if you ever are going over to DLP, be sure to ride the Indiana Jones rollercoaster and look carefully at the crate that houses the ride control tower...if you look who shipped it to Dr. Jones....is was from Prof. S Arnold....ME!
:goodvibes

Hello heidimai,
ive noticed that your daughter shares the same birthday as my son Tyreece, who will be 4 on dec 17th. how nice having a birthday 1 week before christmas!:yay:

Hi Niki,

*Sigh* :sad1: I just read the thread about the gangplank being out of commission for the next 8 weeks or so. Bummer. But at least no one was hurt (really amazing considering the details!) And that just eans I have to go on another cruise just for the enjoyment of walking into the atrium and being annonced!

One week from now and we will be at the sail away party! I have so much to do!!!!! :scared1:

Just read all about it, quite scary! trying not worry too much though but I have a 9 hour flight to get through first! Why am I getting more nervous about flying ect the older I get?

Boo Hoo! it's freezing here and we are all shivering! I have been dreaming of Florida sunshine to keep me warm :cool2: Don't tell me I need to pack my winter woollies!
Whilst I don't like humidity I do like it warm enough for T-shirt and shorts :cool1:

35 minutes until I can leave work and officially be "on vacation".
:yay:
And the time is just CREEPING by....

That is seriously the coolest thing and I am super jealous! I am a current CM at World of Disney NYC but I have also worked in WDW in the past. The first place I worked was Main Street East in MK which means the shops on the right hand side and I would have loved for my name to be somewhere in the Confectionery or Uptown...I love those 2 stores, I had some great memories down there.
