;) Can anyone tell me what the weather is like @wdw around the second week of DEC., will we need jackets???????can we wear shorts in day hours?, etc. thanks for your help. disneynana:earsgirl:

I think it varies. We were there this past December (6 - 13) and it was cold. The nights were freezing, I wore sweatshirts and a jacket. During the day I was ok with capris, but I had a zip up fleece with me at all times. It was warm in the sun, but if we were in shade I had to wear the fleece. I would pack a little of everything.

we were there last year from Thanksgiving until we cruised on the 4th. somedays were VERY cold (and we are from Wisconsin) and some days were very hot, couldn't wait to get in the pool. I would watch the weatherman before you leave, and pack a little bit of both! Remember you can always buy sweatshirts as souveniers!;)

It really varies, but our experience has been 60's to low 70's in the afternoon, colder at night and early morning. Not exactly shorts weather, but not cold either. I usually wear a jacket for the morning, then rent a locker for it around 10:30 or 11 in the morning.

If you can...hold out and pack about a week ahead of time. The 10 day forcast will give you a general idea of what weather you can expect (at least if you need to prepare for any extremes). Then you can adjust your packing to mostly pants/sweatshirts with a couple pairs of shorts and t's OR mostly summer clothes with a couple pairs of pants/sweatshirts.

You can bet on needing a jacket and pants at night. Many of the days we were able to wear pants and a t-shirt all day and be very comfortable...occassionally we needed to start off with a sweatshirt over our t's. One night it was in the upper 30's and we definately needed sweats and a jacket.

I have been there the past 5 years at that time (hope 6 this year) and temps run from upper 30's to lower 80's, average has been upper 50's to lower 70's. As time gets close, check forecast and pattern, but you do need a range of clothing.

I was there at that time in 2002. It was FREEZING! Night time it was in the low 30's. Come to find out when I called home to Vermont it was warmer there:rolleyes:

The daytime highs were in the low 60's.

Be prepared. We were not and we froze!

Trish is right...be prepared!!! Winter (or late Fall) in Orlando is very similar to late spring in New England, or other northern areas. The temperatures can have HUGE fluctuations from day to day; all it takes is one cold or warm front moving in.

I was there in early December last year, and they had record lows once the wind chills were factored in. I've also been at the same time when it was strictly shorts weather. I always pack a lightweight sweater/jacket because some of the restaurants/attractions are just too cold, even in the summertime!

we went December 14-20 this past december, and it was freezing!

There is no way you would have wanted to wear shorts! Heck...I wore my jacket during the day! It was in the 40's the whole week! And colder at night!

You need to pack a little of everything! We went the week before Christmas in 2001. For the first half of our trip, we wore shorts/t-shirts during the day (I wore a light sweater at night)...but for the second half of the trip we wore pants/long sleeves.

I've gone the past 6 years in early December. Three of the years were great (1998, 1999, 2001), high 70's/low 80's most of the week, wore shorts. One year was cold (2000), low 60's the entire week, the other 2 years (2002, 2003) it was a mix. 2002 was the only year we had rain, we had 2 days of solid rain. The rest, little or no rain. Last year I was glad I brought a light winter coat & gloves, some evenings got cold.
