Dec Fantasmic

As much as I'd love F! to be playing on the Friday and/or Saturday night of our stay, another silver lining if F! continues to be absent might be fewer nighttime crowds.

That's the spirit. as much as I want to see F!, I think I would be more bummed if the ROA was drained. I might even move my trip! But I can dig on lower night time traffic

I have always felt the opposite. On a night when F! is showing the lines can actually be shorter. A lot of people are tied up watching the show or stuck in the crowds trying to get through that area.

If you know your way around the roped off areas and the way Pedestrian Traffic gets routed by the CMs so you can avoid the congestion, I would say your chances are better to get on more rides on a weekend night when F! is showing than when it isn't showing...

I would look at what the park hours are as a better indicator of the crowds than whether or not F! is showing. As big as it is, I don't think in and of itself its the major reason people come, its the weekend and a lot of people are going to be there regardless of show schedules, including F!.

Bottom line in my opinion is the more things that are going on(shows, parades, Fireworks, F!) to draw peoples attention the thinner the crowds are on the rides themselves. You just have to plan around the congestion and avoid those areas or already be in the queue for an attraction nearby as the scheduled events end.

Guess we will all have to wait and see. Maybe they are working on the Mark Twain the first two weeks of December - since both Fantasmic! and The Tiana Riverboat show are not showing up. Though it currently doesn't show the Mark Twain as being closed.
Hopefully, they just haven't put it on the schedule yet. Even if it is down the first two weeks of December, it is hard to imagine it would be down the latter part of December when it is so busy.

I am going the second week of December, so keeping my fingers crossed.

The Tiana Riverboat show will run daily through January 3rd.

Fantasmic! runs even when the Mark Twain is out of service, with an alternate ending.

I was bummed about this too since we will be there in December. However, I also noticed that none of the ROA attractions are on the fix list and even though it isn't on the schedule, the DLR page for the Tiana show has it running through Jan. 3. Can't believe that would do something that crazy during the holidays!! Can't miss Fantasmic and snow in December!!!

FWIW :goodvibes

1. Someone at another forum said that they made PS reservations for the Fantasmic Dessert Buffet for 9:00pm on Friday, December 4:
"F! is confirmed!!! Have our PS for 9pm F! on December 4."

"Fantasmic! will be running Friday, Saturday, Sunday through most of November and December, with peak weeks (about 5 in total) with 7 day showings.

Fantasmic! goes dark January 3, 2010 during the River refurb and returns June 2010.

It won't show on the calendar until they've finalized the attendance predictions."

There still isn't any official information about Fantasmic in December, but it looks promising. :thumbsup2

Hope this helps. :earsboy:

Yep..it's happening! I just got the last 2 tickets for the 12/4 9pm showing!

Yay! :yay:

Interesting that guy's expecting 5 "peak weeks" in Nov/Dec. I'd expect 3: Thanksgiving week and the weeks of and after Christmas.

I'm just hoping the time we are there is no a 'peak' week. I'm selfish that way! :)

I would guess that the week of November 9th is also a peak week, since Veteran's Day falls on the Wednesday of that week. People probably go Saturday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Sunday during that time and only have to miss two days of school or work. I know the park is open until midnight on November 11th.

Yay You! It's funny how little things like this can make such a difference. I'm going through something with my very very sick sister and I am making a Christmas trip to see her and taking 2 days out for DL. If F! wasn't running it wouldn't "ruin" my trip, but the fact that is IS running just helps make it that much better. Plus I missed Halloween and I really want to see the stupid dragon!

YAY!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

Oh and that dragon...she makes it all worth it!!!!!! We saw the 11:30 additional showing one weekend last month and man, she was AWESOME!!!!!!

So there will be F! playing December 4th? Now I need to see the dang dragaon.

:rotfl: That would be terrible!

Yay! I wonder when it will show up on the calendar?

I'm wondering the same thing too. Maybe they are waiting to post the times in case they decide to add more showings due to popularity.

I don't know how many seats they sell for the dessert seating, but we got the last 2. It's completely sold out. That does make me wonder how crowded the park is going to be that night and if they are going to do a second Fantasmic at 10:30.
