Dec Fantasmic

I could have sworn about a week ago the closing time for DL that week (Nov. 30 to December 3rd) was 8pm and it now says 9pm. Maybe they are expecting crowds and will add another show that Friday?

It /was/ 8pm as that is what I wrote down on my planning papers. Interesting about the change. The fireworks show went from 8pm to 8:40pm as well which messes up our plan for the night.

I checked the entertainment schedule for the first part of Dec and so far no Fantasmic, but fireworks are listed. Is Fantasmic down? Dec 10-12 2 of the days are Friday and Sat! I'm bummed I want to see the new dragon. ...

Fantasmic is listed in December! :wizard:

Dec. 4/5/6: 9:00pm
Dec. 11/12/13: 9:00pm
Dec. 17 (Thurs.) and 18 (Fri.): 9:00pm (today the calendar only goes to the 18th of Dec.)

Right now the calendar lists one Fantasmic show at 9:00pm on those nights.

Hope this helps. :earsboy:

Yay :yay: It's gonna be packed though only 1 show but I'll take it!

Yippee, it is on one of our nights.:cool1: Now to only hope crowds aren't overwhelming due to reduced schedules!

I'm thrilled it's playing on the weekends, and definitely hoping there will be a second show so we can slip into the second instead of waiting forever for the first one. It will be great fun either way though! Looking forward to seeing Murphy at last! :santa:

So, if the River of Americas is drained for this, does that mean no access to the Tom Sawyer Island and the Pirate's Lair in 2010 between January and May?

I would bet that they will end up adding a second show each night.

There is a 9pm and 10:30pm Fantasmic! show everyday that S. S. Columbia has listed in the quoted post above, as well as every single night from 12/19/2009 - 12/31/2009 with the exception of 12/24/2009 on which there is no Fantasmic! at all.

Yes, this is what that means. :)

Hey, stupid question, they will refund your fantasmic tickets if the show is cancelled due to weather, won't they? I forgot to ask when we purchased them. Guess I could call, but it's so much more fun hearing back from all you folks! :-)

F! is rarely cancelled due to weather. I don't believe they will refund you, I don't know tho because I've never heard of F! being cancelled. You should call if it concerns you. :)

Thanks, pixiewings71. I had heard that if the wind and rain kick up then they cancel both the fireworks show and fantasmic. I guess I'll check with VP if the weather looks bad during our trip.

Nope, I've been there when they've cancelled fireworks but F! still went on as scheduled, the winds would have to be realllllllllllllly bad to cancel F!. The fireworks go up higher in the sky so they are cancelled more often. F! doesn't go as high so it's usually fine. :) I'm sure it has happened but IME they add more shows instead of cancelling them. :)

All this is just hearsay, but I have heard that you get refunds if Fantasmic is canceled, and I reckon that if it was raining too much, it would be too slippery for the performers. I think it would have to be super-windy to force a cancellation due to wind, though.

I know I've been to the parks on days when the fireworks were canceled or cut short for wind, while Fantasmic went on just fine.
