Dec 31 Waitlist questions

Okay guys....we have all our days for our Dec trip now......except NYE.
Anyone gotten this on a waitlist??? Anyone out there got it and plan to give it up??

We are trying to get a studio at OKW or BWV....we have OKW everynight but the 31st and BWV every night but 31st and 1st.

ANyone got any ideas of what we could do??? Thanks!!!!!

I would suggest having a back-up. Book a room somewhere. Then be patient and hope for the best. There is still time for people to solidify their plans and for resort shifts to happen. But, you need to know you have somewhere to lay your head that night.

dh doesn't want to move, so I am not sure if we will even get to go...
I hope the night comes up....this will teach us to not book at 11mths!

My husband and I just released a BWV 1br preferred room back into the system for NYE (and some days around it). We were going for a long weekend and it turned out the 4 day wonder fit perfectly into our flights and was only 50 points more than our room only reservation, so we are doing that instead!

My guess is that things will happen and rooms will open up closer to the date but i'd definately have a backup since there is no way of telling WHERE on the waitlist you are (except on the end when you first get yourself on it!)

I am still waiting for a studio for 12/31 at the BCV. I had a studio at OKW for that night but gave it up a few weeks ago when 1/1 came through at the BCV. The studio is for relatives and since we already have a two bedroom at the BCV it will be easier to have them bunk with us one night than to move to OKW.

I was pleased that 1/1 came through so am hoping that 12/31 does too. Good luck on your wait list.

We were waitlisted for four standard-view studios at BWV last NYE and they all came through. I think the final one came through in early November. Don't give up, but I agree, do make other reservations so you have a back-up hotel.

Hi, kamgen. I'm in pretty much the same boat. Made my ressies for BWV standard 2BR day by day at the 11 month window. I'm still waiting for NYE to come through. My backup ressie is in a preferred 2BR, but we'd rather not move either.

Last year I had to waitlist for NYE in a standard BWV studio. It did come through. I think in May. I'm hoping to be lucky again this year.

Good luck to everyone waiting on the NYE waitlist!

I just talked to Michelle at MS and she was so nice. She reassured me (a little) that there are usually cancellations as it gets closer....so we can hope.

I feel bad holding all of these days at both resorts (BWV & OKW), but I want to have the one that I get NYE at...makes sense! So if I get it, I will be freeing up other nights for someone else!

I just hope I get it soon....so I can breathe!
