Dh and I plan to do US/IoA for our 1st anniversary weekend. We are super excited! I haven't been since 2004 and Dh has never been. We love the idea of seeing Christmas decorations and ringing in the New Year there and what an awesome anniversary trip to remember, right?!

However, I'm no fool. I know we are going at an extremely busy time. I am a planner and no stranger to Orlando and theme parks. So we have already booked a room at RPR. I have read awesome things about the resort and am aware of the perk of express line access (sorry, whatever it is called at US...) so I'm excited. We have also already booked flights.

So my main question is what else should we be prepared for? What else should we make sure we don't miss that we may only be able to do during those days for the holiday? Best idea for NYE...thinking City Walk but where is the best place to be around midnight then in your opinion? Best restaurants and should we make reservations for that weekend? Kinda thinking of booking the luau on our first night at RPR but not sure about other places.

How's the weather usually? I want to do the water rides as I LOVE those but don't want to freeze. Keep in mind, I'm a Southern girl, so my idea of cold and a Northerner's is probably very different, lol. Anything else?? I'm super excited either way!! TIA!! :)

Decorations go down in January
I missed them two years ago when I arrived Jan 3rd

From dec 25 to NYE the parks are packed

Do make reservations for the restaurants way in advance

UO will have some packages you might look at
Check last years event by googling it

One year I was there the temps were cold
I mean time for hats, gloves , coats type of days

Have fun!

Thanks!

I had checked out decorations for last year and it said they were up till Jan. 2 so I am hoping it will be the same this year so we can see it as well.
