Are home hotel is SSR and would like to get a 2 beedroom at BWV, should I book my home hotel and wait for the 7 month window to cancel if we can get into BWV. What was the availability for a 2 beedroom at BWV last year, what are my chances of booking it at my 7 month window? it is April.

I would book at your home resort in order to be sure of having the ressies you want at the time you want. Early Dec. is a popular time with DVC members. I personally couldn't get BWV at the 7 month window in early Dec. Book your home resort, and then good luck with your 7 month.

Early December is a very busy time at the DVC resorts. Book SSR now so that you are guaranteed a place to stay. It won't be easy to switch at 7 months out for that time period. Be sure to call right at 9am eastern time 7 months from your check-in date. Good luck!

Book SSR and do it now. That time is one the highest DVC demand times of the year and even SSR may be difficult at 7 months out. Also the seven month window is May for December not April.

Uh oh, we are trying to do exactly the same thing for practically the same dates!!! We booked a 2-BR at our home resort at VWL, and hoping to switch to BW at the 7 month window. Good luck to both of us!

As others have said, early December is very hard to get a reservation for. Actually there is a thread about folks waitlisting at the 7 month window for this past December and never getting it. We booked BWV at the 11 month window and I was very nervous that I was not going to get what I wanted. My dates are December 10-12 for a standard studio. With that being the Pop warner week and mousefest week, availability is always slim and when booking a regular resort, that week is generally blacked out of discounts too (I was watching carefully in 2008 as we are going during this timeframe this December). I don't think we posted on that thread but we were one of those folks. We booked a 2 bedroom at our home resort of SSR Nov. 30-Dec. 6 and waitlisted as soon as week could for AKV, BWV, and BCV. Nothing ever came through! So as long as you'll be happy staying at SSR I would book now. I may be wrong but there aren't as many 2 bedrooms as other rooms so I think that, plus the popularity of the season, were the main reasons why we didn't get our waitlist. This year we have a 1 bedroom booked for the same week and I'll be crossing my fingers when we waitlist again. Good luck!
