Dec 27/08 NYE Western Cruise - Really New Thread

I'm off to my church council meeting, they sucked me in as treasurer 3 years ago. I think it may be a life sentence.

Later dudes.

Good for you, Artie! I'm sure they agree you're an angel for your help.:thumbsup2

To answer your question about dinner on the 25th, I still haven't decided. :hippie:

I highly recommend the turkey legs from the Lunching Pad, that would be a great Christmas dinner. Actually, that is something we have never tried, it all seems very medieval to me. One minute your riding Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin the next your gnawing on a animal appendage screaming "Ten shillings to anyone that brings me the head of that peasant boy who ran off with my daughter"

This year we have decided on Magic Kingdom for Christmas Day, previous years we did other parks. We will be there for 7:00am rope drop to beat the crowds, and leave around lunch time to go back to the resort for a swim. We have an ADR for the Yachtsman Steakhouse for dinner, then probally to Epcot for Illuminations.

Not that I've given it much thought. :rolleyes1
And remember to look for Chel and I on the 26th at the DVC event, I'll be the guy yelling"ARTIE, ARTIE'

and for those of us just leaving home on the 26th - the 1 month count down begins.... :woohoo: :yay:

"Ten shillings to anyone that brings me the head of that peasant boy who ran off with my daughter"

:lmao:

I've only ever heard that out loud at the Rennaissance Faire

:)

Can't wait to hang out with you guys in less than a month!

BTW aisling was begging me to post this, so check it out:

Hey, my son posted! And it's Mom, sonny boy!

Yes, the article is very very interesting for those interested in the politics of the Disney corporation.

I've already been over there and noted my opinion...

I think the person who wrote the statement was seriously overthinking the whole movie.

OMG.. I am so in a panic all of a sudden on the closeness of the cruise. I have nothing picked out, other than a dress that I got for Xmas.. it will be a semi formal night.. and its red. Its a maternity dress that was nice.. and not matronly looking.

I have to see if I can borrow the maternity shorts from the girl across the street that just had her baby.. we are about the same size.. ABOUT... and then I just have to pick up some t's. What do you think the weather will be like???

I have to plan out my outfits, and will ask Brian to start thinking about his. OH.. so I went onto the DCL website to do the online checkin.. I need to have my dr permission slip in by the 13th of Dec.. My next dr's appt is the 17th of dec. YIKES!! going to call on Friday and see if I can fax it and have it faxed back then I can fax to the ship, or if I can stop by on Monday when I have the u/s done downstairs and have him sign it then.. I am a bit stressed about this part.. just figured I would need it w/me when I showed up.. NOT 14 days in advance.. YIKES!

I figure our spending $$ will not be high, as I can not drink booze.. I mostly drink water and juice. Not sure what Brian plans on drinking.. but am sure that he cant rack up to bad a bill drinking solo.

I am totally looking forward to this cruise, but am now nervous I dont have enough time to get ready.. I start training for my ptime job at H&R block on Dec 1st.. its every Mon, Wed and Fri evening from then til 12/22... My friends are all telling me I am whacked for taking a pt job while pregnant.. I explained that the money from doing the taxes is for the maternity leave fund. Maybe I am crazy. (not comments necessary Artie) ;)

Work should be a bit slower in Dec.. Nov was just out of control!!..

I feel like there is so much to do w/so little time to do it in.

I usually have everything almost down to the minute by now, but this time I just can't decide. I want to do all 4 parks in two days. I want to see Wishes, Spectro and the ice castle, and also the Christmas parade at 3. I just don't want to spend the whole day in any park(s) without a hotel break, but if we leave the MK after the 3 pm parade, we may not be able to get back in for the night-time things.

Thursday Dec. 25th:

8:30 AM: arrive at MCO
10:30 AM: checked into WL concierge and eat late breakfast in the lounge

Friday Dec. 26th:

5:30 PM Epcot dinner at San Angel Inn
8:30 PM Epcot Candlelight Processional

That's all I have!!! I am a member of Tourguidemike, but I haven't checked his advice in a while. I'll be looking it over tonight to see his best days chart.

EEEK!!! I haven't made any plans as to what to see, do and ride for our 4 days. We have the parks picked out, but that is as far as I got. I think I'm headed to the other side of my personality, the side that does NOTHING, compared with the total control freak... maybe this is not a bad idea:rolleyes1  I think we will be in MK on Xmas too. We do have dinner at Boma at 4pm. Also on 12/26 we have a dinner in Epcot part of a Magical Gathering (can't remember the resturant name, but it only serves for MG so not a normal place) and then illuminations fireworks & dessert, anyone done this before???
Aisling do you think we will be in the same zone this night???

ALSO------Rus, Brenda, Michelle & Dale (even though he doesn't read this) Paul and I are so looking forward to dinner on Friday (right???) BUT!!! I found out I have to take the kids to a birthday party that afternoon, I'll just drop them, but I'm not sure I'll be able to get a fancy thing for us ready before dinner...we need to talk times. Brenda, I'll call ya I think I still have your number in my phone, just in case email or pm me please :flower3:

Have you never been to the East Coast of Canada, trust me he will not be drinking alone. I plan on having a few bottles of rum in our stateroom, which I believe is quite close to yours.

Maybe I am crazy. (not comments necessary Artie) ;)

Who me?

:cheer2:
