How likely is DL to completely close during the week between Christmass and New Years? We have 5 day park hoppers - with an 8 month old, we want to do the parks a few hours here and there. Will we even have a chance if we come back at 5:00 or 6:00 in the evening to see fireworks?? Or will we only be able to visit in the mornings (and stay all day long in order to see evening shows)??? Thanks!!

I am told they close due to capacity a lot in those times. We are going also at that time! See ya at the land!

It is very possible that you won't be let back in even if you were in the park earlier. I say try and the worst they can say is no. And if they say no, go over to DCA and see some of their entertainment (Aladdin, Turtle Talk, Electric Parade are all great). Although I would probably plan for at least one of the 5 days you go all day and don't leave. Find a long show or quiet place if your 8 month old NEEDS a nap.

If you stay on site do they also turn you away if parks fill?

I believe there are different "levels" of closing the parks, the first being no new tickets sold at the ticket windows, but people w/park hoppers, etc. can still enter, up to no more people are let in at all.
