We know the parks will be crazy busy and we have already warned the kids we won't do everything. We have our MB all ordered. I know the parks fill to capacity but I am wondering how many minutes before rope drop we need to plan on being at the gates to avoid being shut out. TIA!

If you are there at RD, you will not be shut out. Usually the closings start around 11-2PM. If you get there about 45 minutes prior to RD you will be in good shape to hit some headliners before it gets too busy.

Even with the closures, they usually start to re-open around 5PM or so from what we have experienced or read about. It's mostly special events and afternoon times where the closures are in place.

Have a fun trip!

Do most parks re-open around 5 pm? We are traveling with a 6 month old and 2 year old. My 2 year old won't nap at the parks - no chance. We will have to go back to the room for naps. I read some where that MK reaches capacity at 11 am on NYE. That would be horrible. HORRIBLE
