Planning our next trip. We are somewhat flexible with time. We were originally planning dec 2020. Around the 10th-20th. I’ve heard a few people talk about how nice Jan is regarding crowds. So, thinking about changing to Jan beginning a few days after New Years.
We would miss Christmas decorations but we have seen them before.
So, what has been your experience? What to you suggest?

Christmas decorations and festivities truly give the place a special magical feel, in my experience, and I feel a little sense of loss in January when they're taken down.

But that would really be the only reason I'd visit in December over January. If you really don't mind, then definitely choose January for the lower crowds. You might find more of your attractions undergoing refurbishment during that period, so if you have any absolute must-dos, it would be good to check out the schedule. But generally the lower crowds make up for it. Note that there's Martin Luther King Jr Day and the Festival of the Arts in late January which will draw in more crowds.

I checked on touring plans and it shows both crowd levels 4-6 most days for this coming year. Going by that, it looks like crowds are close to the same. Welcome any input and thank you!
