Dec 2007 A mouse Odyssey/lotsa pics

You only have 24 days left, which is practically 3 weeks!!! :cool1: I can't wait till you go on your trip, so I can live vicariously through you, at least until I go on my trip. :goodvibes Just think. . .24 days till you see the Mouse!!! :yay: :woohoo: :yay: You'll have to get tons of pics with him to make up for the last time.

It's getting crazy here I tell you! I am all about the mouse this time! I hope to get a picture of him at each park, and if for some reason I don't see him, he will be at Ohana's when we go for breakfast. I see no problems this time though since everybody is onboard about wanting to do the character meetngreets.

Ok, 24 days left to go, I can do that with both eyes tied behind my back.
The husband leaves tomorrow for his week long trapping trip, I think he is more excited about geting away from me and my constant Disney talk than he is to trap some coyotes. WHATEVER!

I did some shopping for disney the other day, I bought some lithium batteries for the camera, some discs for emptying my pictures onto each night and 10 VHSC tapes for the camcorder, I think i should buy more tapes though cause they are only 30 minute tapes, i thought they made 90 minutes but 30 was all they had, so I got em. I also bought us an early christmas present, a DVD recorder so I can transfer all the Disney vacation footage to DVD when I get home. I plan to do that whil my parents are here, that way they have no choice but to watch my vacation play out.

I was obsessing over the crowd level calendar and even gave myself a stomache ache over it, I was trying to rework my itinerary without having to change my ADR's, I was going over the best bus, monorail, boat, route for the fastest and easiest way to park hop, then it hit me that I am putting too much worry into this trip and should just relax a bit, if I go and make all kinds of changes that puts us on a strict schedule, then all fun goes out the window, so I have decided to not change a thing, I will just fastpass the popular rides and go with the flow, I would have waisted so much time park hopping all around anyway, so what if i have to wait in line for a bit, it beats the stress of a strict schedule right? And I am there for 8 days, so really I am hitting each park twice. NO WORRIES! I am zen! I am the jacket press!
I will explain the jacket press thing to you. You know that theresa and I are partners in a silkscreen business, well 3 years ago we got an order for jackets, we do not have a jacket press, (it hold the jacket firm on the table so you can screen without wrinkles) they are super expensive, so I had Theresa get down on her knees under the table and pull down on the jacket from underneath to make it tight, she was freaking out that we would mess it up, which we could not afford to do, so I tell her calm down, "Be the jacket press." so now anytime on eof us freaks out we calmly say "Be the jacket press" And now you are asking why I would share this with you?! Well the trip is near, things will happen, people will face their fears, and we will do it by focusing and being the jacket press, and of course I will be sharing it all with you in my trip report and I want you to understand the meaning of the jacket press, I will leave nobody in the dark!!!

I'm glad. I don't think you'll find the Mouse at Epcot; at least, I never have. But, you will find him at the other parks, meet and greets and character dining where he is one of the characters. I can just imagine your HUGE smile, as you pose each time with him. :goodvibes

Are you sure you can do this with both eyes tied behind your back?! :rotfl2:

I love the jacket press analogy! You have a good attitude about how to handle the trip. It will all go just fine. Like you said, just go with the flow. You'll be in happiest place on Earth. . .in 24 more days!!!

I have also made myself sick obsessing over those crowd level calendars in the past. I made myself not look at it this time and you know what? Everything was just fine!

You're right...if you FP the popular rides, the waits at the other rides/attractions will be manageable. And you're at Disney World, so everything will be great no matter what!

You're getting SO close!

I thought you all would be interested in this, it seems to me that the castle lights will be on every night and not just for the parties since this stage show occurs before the party even gets started.

Starting on November 12, the "Cinderella's Holiday Wish Stage Show" will take place in front of the castle at 5:45. Immediately following this performance, the 'Castle Dream Lights' will be lit featuring over 200,000 twinkling lights draped on the towers and turrets.

There you go ILMICKEY, you will be seeing the castle lights before any of us. You lucky dog!

Thanks for posting that information Lessa.
This is FABULOUS news. I was seriously thinking about buy tickets to the party JUST to see the castle! Thanks so much for posting.

ILMICKEY Wow, you leave in 12 days. The day you leave I will be down to 13 days. check out my math skills, impressive huh? We are just burning through the days. Keeping busy that's the key.
Your math skills are very good Ty! That's what I've been doing keeping busy, busy, busy! It really does work!

What a special time for you. I LOVED it when my husband went bear hunting for a week.
Ya know, absence makes the heart grow fonder and stuff like that!

I was obsessing over the crowd level calendar and even gave myself a stomache ache over it,
I'm sorry I posted that on my PT. Sure didn't want to cause you to be sick. That's right, go with the flow. You will have so much more fun. I didn't pay too much attention to the parks you should avoid. I just like the 4's and 5's.

I am the jacket press!
I loved your story. We all should be the jacket press! It would cause so much less stress!!

njdisneyfreak Epcot has that chracter connections place that normally has the main characters in it, I am hoping to get a chance to do that, the back drop for pictures is really cute.
22 days! Wow! It's too close to believe.

SwansLoveDisney Thanks for the encouragment, and since you were just there you should know. I actually didn't think it was too bad the first time I went and according to past crowd level calendars I was there during 6's and 7's , so if I managed that I know I will be fine this time. And you are right, I will be at Disney so it will all be good any way.

ILMIICKEY I am happy that you get to see the castle lights minus the MVMCP ticket fee. The picture was beautiful, can you imagine it in person?
Don't blame my crowd level OCD on your posting. I would have found a way to stress over it some way or another, but it's fine because I am the jacket press!!
Dh called today, he actually trapped a Bobcat, unfortunatley he does not have a permit for them so he had to let it go. He said it was one angry Kitty.
I haven't had any time to miss him. And truth be told, I haven't had time to think about Disney. I KNOW! RIGHT? My mind is a jumbled mess of schedules and charts. And normally my silkscreen business slows down to maybe a job everything other week, but I am still getting 3 jobs a week. I need a vacation. HEY! Maybe I will take a trip to DIsney, What do you all think? Should I do that?

Hey all, here is the video of the Cinderella castle show/castle lighting in case you want a sneak preview.

Enjoy!
I got the chills and there may have been a tear.......or two. How absolutely beautiful. I'll bet the pictures just don't do it justice.

Say, do you suppose they got those lights that if one goes out they still stay on. Wow, couldn't imagine having to search all of those for the 1 that went out!!

This is good. If you aren't thinking about Disney, you won't obsess with it.

And yes, I think it's a really good idea to take a trip to Disney, you deserve it!!

Hey guys, I got somthin scary going on here. Reese has been having dizzy spells for a week now along with heart palpitations and hot flashes. They are going to hook her up to heart monitor that she will wear for 24 hours and try and find out what is going on. They are also talking about not letting her fly to her Dads house, which really isn't a bad thing, but what if they don't let her fly to Disney. I am sure it will all be resolved by then, but it lingers in the back of my mind. She is a worrier and right now has alot on her plate, Red Lion cheerleading tryouts are tomorrow, and Raptors is very demanding, The DR. thinks it is probably stress, so really a vacation to Disney might be the cure, right?

That is pretty scary. I hope Reese gets better soon!

I had a similar thing going on in college when I was really stressed out. It turned out that I was severely anemic. I remember being so scared though, I feel for Reese.

Oh Ty, I'm sure she will be fine. Your right, she probably is just stressing. It's so tough to be a teenager these days and she really has a full plate. A trip to Disney is definitely going to help! Be sure to keep us all posted.

I really, really think she should stay home and not go to her dads!! Hey, maybe that's it!!

I also had a similar thing happen last year, they put me on Toprol (or something like that) for a while & all is well.

Its probably stress, thats what it was for me.

I hope everything gets better! :grouphug: a Disneyfied break from everyday life might just be the cure! :thumbsup2

OK OK where did you find this crowd calander level??? I know when we are there it will be at what ever the worst color is at all times but lets see maybe I can giggle things around and move mountains and not be in a soooo crowded park...

I hope Reese is feeling better! Maybe she needs a LIME GREEN MICKEY escapade at HOME DEPOT again!!

Hi everyone, thank you for your posts of well wishes and encouraging words for and about Reese. She is doing great, they did find that she has an inner ear infection which would totally explain the dizziness, so they put her on a strong 5 day dose of antibiotics to get her cured up for flying, they think maybe she panicked with each dizzy spell and that could be why she got the heart palpitations but they are still going to hook her up to a heart monitor after Thanksgiving. the fact that they are ok with waiting so long let's me think that everything is fine and they are just being cautious.
She had her tryouts for RL basketball cheerleading and she made the squad so that is less stress for her, ( she always sweats the tryouts) She was also nervous about having to read her essay at the cheer banquet in front of 250 people, that is over and now she is feeling good.
Only 14 more days till Disney, can you believe it? I just have 2 more days of work then I have 3 days off before back to work on sunday, I have been trying to get my tree up since last thursday, I like to have all my trees up and the house decorated for thanksgiving, it just aint happening! I have up one tree, the lights and beads are on, as I walk by it I hang up an ornament or two, it's just slow moving, hopefully I can get it all done this weekend.
