Just wondering who else is going on this 'week before Christmas' cruise. We booked it in 2002 and boy the prices seem to be going up quite a bit. I assume that means it is becoming popular, so maybe there are others on this board joining us!

We are a family of 4, my DH, me and my twin DDs (age 11 by the time we cruise).

Anyone else joining us?

Hi i am so glad to see someone else going also we are on that cruise, we are doing 3 days on land and 4 nights cruise then going back to land party of 3

So it will be your first cruise? You are going to love it! We usually go in September for our twins' birthday (and we are going this year on the 7 day in September), but we have always wanted to see the holiday decorations on the ship so we booked this extra cruise for this year.

I think it is going to be a crowded ship, but it should be a lot of fun!

Yes it is our first cruise and i don't think it will be too crowded many people don't take their kids out of school or they are just comming down as we are leaving but it should be fun still the same

The reason I thought it might be crowded is because the price has gone up on this cruise by about 35-40% in the last month and all of the Cat. 11 & 12 rooms are gone (and on some days the Cat. 10s are also gone (like today, they appear to be moving some people around because twice some Cat. 10s have opened this week)---I am watching the DCL site because my sister hasn't booked yet and she said she was going to go on this cruise with us).

Here in our town, the kids are out of school at this time, Dec. 17th will be their last day, so I am thinking that if the ship is this sold at already, it might be very crowded with kids. I didn't realize that in some parts of the country kids would still be in school the week of Christmas. Our kids get 2 weeks off during the holiday: Starting Dec. 17th until Jan. 3rd.

BUT no matter how crowded it is, it is going to be fun! We have never seen the ship decorated for the holidays (only saw the pictures others have posted). We can't wait!

are u going on a cruise before december, and what cat did you book for? my best friend and her family are going too

Yes, we go every year for my twin DD's birthday in September. This December cruise was in 'idea' that came to us back in 2002 and that is when we booked it. It is a real 'splurge' for us to do two cruises in one year, but we all wanted to see what the ship looked like for the holiday.

I will change my counters once our April Disneyland trip is over.
