We actually just got 3 days ago the hospitality area which under normal cercumatances would most likely be booked. So my question is what are our chances in booking boardwalk dvc? How crowded is the dvc resorts at this time?

Good questions, that's an odd week. High points but not yet Christmas and many school breaks haven't started yet. All you can do is call and try.

It is a very popular time for DVC owners, because holiday decorations are up, the points are low, and crowds are low.
Boardwalk is not a huge resort, so it will probably be difficult.
I was trying to book BCV for the beginning of my stay this year, Tues. December 10-Sunday December 15.
As of this morning, Tuesday at BWV is NOT available, although Wed.- Sun. is. At BCV, only Friday and Saturday are available.
Another thing you should be aware of is that the more days you want to book, the more difficult it is. A full week is much more difficult than a couple of days.

I just checked availability for my stay of Dec. Tues. 10-20. Oddly, although for the beginning of my stay, BCV and BWV are available only starting Friday, starting that Friday they have availability for the next 7 days!
So maybe you will be able to get what you want!

I've been checking availability in December every day. I can tell you the first week of December up until about the 14th/15th is pretty much booked solid anywhere. Around those days though, it's starting to free up. You might have luck.

If for some reason we don't get bwv I won't be terrible upset, at least we will be at Disney world and seeing all the beautiful Christmas decor and shows

Great news! I just changed our reservation we will be staying at
BWV standard 1 bedroom for our pre-Christmas fun! Yahoo!

I'm going to try something similar. I currently have 3 nights booked at AKV (12/15-12/17)and 5 at OKW in a GV (1218-12/23). I want to switch my OKW to AKV, so I'm going to try to do that a day at a time starting Saturday. SO...Anyone who has been waiting for a GV at OKW....I'll be releasing mine one day at a time if I can get AKV!
