Toria, I read your 2011 cruise trip report last night. Loved it!

I'm wondering if I will end up in the same boat as you and just have me and the kids cruising together next time? It is our first cruise and dh, a disney-resistor, keeps saying I should take my mom with us instead of him. I'm hoping he will have a blast but who knows. He is being more open to it than I expected. Really all he has to do is relax in the bahamas for a few days, I think he will survive.

We did our first WDW trip when our girls were 4 and 1. I ended up doing our 2nd WDW-trip solo with our girls the next year. He liked Disney but said he had been there, done that.... He has agreed to do the cruise because it is something different and because he knows it is something I really want to do. We used to joke because if I wanted to talk Disney, he would physically brace himself by leaning against a doorway or wall or dresser.

Are you doing a trip report for this cruise? I would love to read it.

I have to just to get over the fact that Disney is not for everyone( my husband included). Future trips will be planned without him, except the 7 day Fantasy cruise that he will most definitely be on. Every trip we take he does all the driving, so I will miss not having to do that part. Disney on a budget is the game that I play, so flying and rental cars are out. When I told my DS that dad was not coming he stated, "Well who is driving?". All I could do was laugh.
I will be doing a trip report to share this one woman and 2 kids adventure.
I am still deciding if we will do a day at MK before the cruise or just Downtown Disney.

I completely know what you mean about the driving. I used to travel 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off before having kids so I'm fine driving while travelling but having DH do all the driving when we do travel together is such a nice treat! The year we did WDW without him, it was all Disney bus travel for us.

Cruises look like the perfect vacation for travelling solo with the kids! You will actually be able to have some time to yourself to relax.

Have you thought about doing MVMCP for 1 day before or after the cruise? We are leaning towards that to get a bit of a WDW fix.

I'm really, really sorry I would of loved to of done the 2nd FE group also but unfortunately having done most of my packing in the last few days my suitcases are already at there maximum weight limit with last minute bits&bobs to still go in (DH will have a blue fit when he find out )

Look forward to meeting everyone though hopefully

It is ok that you are unable to participate in the 2nd one. I totally understand about the luggage. These days you have to morgage your home for the price of your luggage to fly.

Hi everyone. We just decided to go on this cruise as we got an amazing rate. We are so excited We just sailed our first Disney cruise this summer and did the FE which reallly added so much to our vacation... the kids loved! We would love to participate again if it is still opened???

26 days to go. Does anyone else feeling like running around, while waving your hands in the air, yelling 'I'm not ready! I'm not ready!'?

I booked our flights to Florida and am deciding on return flights still. Wish we lived closer to Florida as our flights are the same price as the cruise, boo-urns.

The big thing stressing me, I think, is that I need to get my children's passports renewed asap. I will get their pictures and forms done tomorrow.

We have a hotel booked for the night before the cruise. Still need to decide on transportation to the cruise.

How is everyone else doing? Feeling ready or not ready?

All is well on my homefront so far. I am nowhere near ready. We have a staycation next week at a beach house for Thanksgiving that I am hosting for about 20 family members coming into town next week. I try to limit my stress to one event at a time, LOL!
