We took our whole family Dec 2-7 this year and they loved it and ask at xmas if we could plan it again in 09 so mom is planning again, my question is in 09 thanksgiving is the 26th we are kicking over flying down on Sat. the 28th and staying a week, that would put us ahead of the PW crowd. I am wondering what the experienced person thinks on the crowds, these two different weeks. any suggestions or ideas on this would be well received.

I was there the same time you were this year, and although we know how to keep ahead of the crowds and avoid the lines, I did find it more crowded than normal. Seems like more and more people are going down for PW week. I think you will be fine flying in the Saturday after Thanksgiving. You'll find some lingering crowds over the weekend, but it will decline as you move into the week. Have fun planning!

We have gone twice for the week after Thanksgiving. The crowds are very manageable after Sunday. My boys could not believe the difference when we switched to going in June (too old to take out of school now.) The crowds are so much less that many rides do not even utilize the FP (biggies still do, but others like ITTBAB, Jungle Cruise, larger show/movies) did not. Have fun!
