Day 1
Had a leisurely morning at home before leaving for the airport about 10.30. Flew from Leeds Bradford Airport without any delays and even managed a free lunch for me and hubby. Bad system in the cafe. I picked up 2 paninis and the lady then took them off me to warm them. I chose a couple of kids meals and our drinks. Went back for Paninis but was ushered along to the till. I paid then went to sit down. 5 minutes later the girl fetched the paninis accross to us. It wasn't until I was checking the recipt in the hotel on our arrival that I saw the checkout hadn't taken for the paninis because they weren't on the tray. :scared1: Am I the only one this has happened to.

Anyway, the take off was horrendous because of the winds and one poor guy was clutching his seat so hard his hands turned white! Needless to say the girls loved it and kept laughing everytime we drop backed down.

Had quite a long wait for the VEA but I think this was because it was Sunday. I must add I found the location of the VEA quite easily because of the Dis boards - if not - we'd probably still be there walking around CDG! :lmao:

We arrived at the Hotel New York about 5.00pm and had an excellent check in. We were given a room overlooking the ice rink and the girls were thrilled with their gifts waiting for them (so was I when I saw the Mickey wine glass all wrapped up!) The room was fantastic, plenty of space and nice and clean.

We ate in the hotel, having the buffet and because Bronwyn was still 2 she ate free. As usual for the girls they were tucked up in bed by 7.00 and alseep by 7.30pm as they were so excited that we were all in the same bedroom.

Day 2
Woke up early as usual and were down to breakfast for 8.00. The breakfast was fantastic. So much choice, hot and cold and the girls found pleanty that they liked. Took a couple of croissants for the ruck sack :rolleyes1 and generally pigged out.

Back to the rooms to get wrapped up. The girls had full ski suits and fur line boots so we knew the cold wouldn't be a problem. I had long johns which isn't this years sexy look but hey at least I was warm! :rotfl:

We walked to the park through the village looking in a few of the shops along the way and then we entered the park. What can I say - there is something magical about entering Disney and with all the Christmas decorations it was fantastic. Santa was just coming out but the girls didn't want to have their picture taken with him so we went straight to Dumbo (after reading the advise on here). This was a big hit and the girls loved it. Next we did the carrosel, Tea cup and saucers, Pinochio followed by IASW. Pinochio was not such a hit but only in that they didn't want to go back on but they didn't cry or anything. The we did the whole lot again. (Peter Pan was closed by the way)

Had a pizza for lunch in - I forget the name but it's the Lady & Tramp place. After lunch Bronwyn was flagging so we hire a stroller and Maisie enjoyed standing on the back. We did Buzz twice, and then had a quick look at Captain Nimrod? (memory's terrible) but the girls found this a little boring. Nipped back into buzz (mainly for me and Steve) and then had a warm drink in the Lion King theatre.

Managed to go around all the rides in Fantasyland again before taking our places for the parade. The Christmas Parade was fantastic and such a catchy song. The girls really enjoyed this and I think was the best thing for them all day.

As we walked home through the village we decided to have tea in Cafe Mickey. Again after another tip off here, we got there at 5.40 so the girls had just about eaten before the Charactors came out, which was just as well as there was no way they would have eaten after that. We weren't too impressed with the meal but the charactors were brilliant so that more than made up for it. In fact even now 2 months later they still talk about the charactors they met.

We had a stroll back to the hotel and then the girls were in bed for 7.00pm and asleep by 5 past! :rotfl: We might seem a bit strict to some people but believe me one tired toddler is hard work but 2.................

Will post the rest another time!

Great report - I can't wait to read the rest:thumbsup2

We've always stuck by bed-time routine as well on holiday :thumbsup2 as any deviations result in stress. Not sure how we'll manage with later opening in July :confused3

Great start :thumbsup2 Glad you liked the HNY - that ice rink view is wonderful isn't it? :goodvibes

Hi Janet,
when will you post the rest of you TR? I can't wait... :)

Thanks for the report. Especially interested as we're looking to go end of November this year and want to stay at the Hotel New York.
