Debit Card?

Has anyone used a Maestro debit card in the US? If so, have you had any problems? Our cards have just beeen changed so we haven't had chance to use them on our previous trips. However I have noticed that with both Virgin and Disney Travel (UK) you can't pay with a Maestro debit card.

In the UK Meastro is transacted as two different card schemes.
Domestic and International
Most merchants cannot accept the international variety, however, the domestic ones just replaced Switch, so should be able to be used at any company that used to accept Switch. Some companies still only show the switch logo on their sites, but Maestro will be fine on these sites.

There are online changes coming in July that affects Maestro, which in theory wouldn't allow online transactions of Maestro unless the merchant was enrolled in a mastercard security scheme. It is unsure whether Mastercard will enforce this date.

Thanks for the info Paul I've been back on the Virgin site and paid for my holiday by selecting Switch.

It's a pity my bank wasn't as helpful!
