Debating on which week to go to Disney

We have known for months now that we wanted to go to Disney in October and wanted to stay in one of the Garden Wing rooms at The Contemporary. We chose this because of it being the cheapest room there but we still get the easy access (walking) to Magic Kingdom with our 3 small children (2 in stroller).

Well...we waited too long and for some of the weeks, the Garden Wing rooms are already gone. So now I need to decide whether it is worth it to pay for a more expensive room or go on a less desirable week. I used the **************.net ranking of weeks and added my thoughts:

Week of 9/29/12 (25th best week of year) - It would be $4,454 for Garden Wing room for 7 nights and 6 day park ticket. Earlier than we originally planned to go and still in peak hurrican season. May be very hot.

Week of 10/6/12 (28th best week) - $5,483. No Garden Wing available. Crowds slightly higher due to Columbus day.

Week of 10/13/12 (4th best week) - $5,427. This would have probably been our first pick but Garden Wing not available. Price is for Theme Park view room.

Week of 10/20/12 (5th best week) - $5,264. Another great choice but again no Garden Wing.

Week of 10/27/12 (6th best week) - $4,336 for Garden Wing. So we could get Garden Wing this week but the downside is that we wouldn't be able to do Halloween at home too (not that big of a deal) but I am worried about it getting too cold. We would like to be able to use the pools. We went this exact week in 2008 and it was very chilly all week (unusually cold). We wore jeans and sweaters every day to the parks.

Thoughts? Anything I am not thinking about? We are leaning toward 10/27 because of price but I am just concerned about the weather.

Thanks!

I meant to post this in the Disney Resorts section and now can't figure out how to move or delete it. Can anyone help?

We are going in September this year. The weather can be iffy but love the small crowds.
