Debating food

Disney has a decent variety, however, like anything at Disney, you will pay a premium. Shopping off site will certainly save you money, and will have a bit larger variety too.

WDW has a wide variety of snacks to choose from in the parks, but, as others have noted, you pay a premium for them. If you'd like to save some money, I would bring your own.

I always buy snacks and bring them in the car on the way up or drive to Target when I'm up there.

Disney has plenty of choices but you're going to be paying 4x the amount for them

Your other option is Amazon Prime Now. You can choose from snacks, sodas, fruit, even ice cream if you have a room with a freezer and deliver within a 2 hour window of your choosing when you get there (they don't deliver alcohol). They deliver for free if you are Amazon Prime member if you choose a 2 hour delivery option and $7.99 if you want it in an hour.

If you rent a car, its easy to stop at one of several grocery stores on the way to WDW from the Airport. We pickup snacks, and breakfast foods. Otherwise, bringing snack with is a good option.

Snacks are always a good idea. WDW has a variety, but it is mostly chips, pretzels, cookies and the like. My family enjoys those things, but I also like to have hummus, string cheese and yogurt on hand as well. And WDW charges premium prices. If you can pick them up yourself or order them, you can buy what you like and probably not pay as much.

This sounds like a good idea, especially since we won't have a car. Do they deliver directly to your room? Any time of day? We are arriving in the evening around 7ish. It would be nice to get it all delivered on our first night. Can you schedule it in advance?

You can set up the window for any time. Not sure how late but you could have it delivered any available time that day because they will leave the delivery with bell services. If you have not arrived, bell services will refrigerate or freeze anything that needs to be chilled or frozen and you can ask them to deliver it to your room once you get there. The grocery services will not deliver it directly to your room - it goes through bell services.

If you are not a Prime member, Garden Grocer delivery has always worked well for us.

I used Safeway for grocery delivery last trip (I used to use Garden Grocer, but they charge a lot more and have less selection). We get bottled water, juice, iced coffee, a few breakfast type snacks, beer & wine. Whatever we have left over I give to the bell services staff, and they always appreciate it.
