Death Sentence from judge for DC Sniper

That is great! Too bad we don't have execution by firing squad!

I live in Virginia and it was a horrible time. I wouldn't let my 3yr old dd sit on top of my dh's shoulders afraid she may be the next victim. I'm not a big fan of the death penalty but I think justice has prevailed! I cannot imagine what the families of the victims are thinking right now.

But too quick a death for him. Slow agony would be better for scum like him.

Murderers should die the way their victims did.

ITA!! Maybe we should put him in a pen with the blinds like for duck hunting and such and let him run around scared while the families of the victims take their turns!!

Sorry if I have offended, please send all flames by PM so as not to start a fight on the cb!!!!!

I have mixed emotions on the death penalty only when its not a clear cut case. In this instance, I think justice has prevailed.

And I hope to never, ever experience anything like that again in this lifetime. Right after 9/11, no less. Its no wonder people don't look you in the eye walking along the street here in D.C. - this town was pretty shaken after both events within 13 months of one another. Certainly a wake up call to how fragile life is!

Death is too easy for him I say he should rote in jail and have buba as his cell mate.

I can only hope that it is done as quickly as possible and that I never have to hear or see him again!!!

Thank you Chief Moose!! I'm sorry there was no justice for you and that my County choose to treat you so badly!!! You were the hero in this horrible time.

I'm certainly not offended, you have every right to your opinion. But I can say that for the people that lived in this area, many of us spent the better part of a month running around, zig-zagging through parking lots, ducking back into our cars while we filled our tanks, etc. It is kind of a funny mental picture, until you remember how it felt at the time.

Perhaps it is different for people that actually had to live through it, in person. I can remember pulling up to a Home Depot, and seeing three white vans in the parking lot...I wrote down the tag numbers in my checkbook, just in case. Sure, it seems like an overreaction now, but at the time, it didn't seem at all out of the realm of possibility that I would get my head blown off while going into a store.

Where is the head of the Anti-HEH movement?:earseek:

I miss all of the grandstanding and hysteria?;)

Oh well, I'm glad that it's over. (the sniper situation)

I hope to never see anything like it again.

i did the same thing, afr. :(

i am opposed to the death penalty in all cases, so i am opposed to it in this case too. but having lived through it, i can't say i blame people who feel like the death penalty is appropriate in this case.
