I certainly shed no tears over this decision. That psycho terrorized us all for 3 horrendous weeks, I seriously doubt he can be rehabilitated. I admit to having very grey feelings about the death penalty -- when one really should have black or white feelings about these type of issues -- but in this case, I think the world is better off without him in it.

I hope everyone knows that I, too, think it was the only choice for this guy - however, since he did infact terrorize the nation for so long and killed so many innocent people it's just too easy. I know this kind of person can not be rehabilitated but it just *seems* too easy for him.

It looks like there won't be a long stretched out period of time before the sentence is carried out.

I agree the punishment is fitting.....sort of. His death will be easy by comparison to those of his victims.

I just wonder now what the other states will do. Will they drop their cases or proceed? If he didn't get the death penalty in Virginia, I know he would have in Alabama.

I would think that at least one other state will take him to court if only as a backup.

And it will be years before he actually dies....

I am kind of like Snoopy. I have mixed feelings on the death penalty, but this mutt deserves to go meet his final destiny. (I think it will be warm where he winds up!)
