New Years Day starts slow in the morning, but after the Rose Bowl Parade gets out, it picks up quickly and can be quite crowded by evening.
We are die-hard rope droppers, so that will work out quite well for us (my kids know that Mom's amusement park motto is, "Go early, leave early!") - thanks for the info!
We're also thinking through what we might do for a special NYE dinner, either at DTD or elsewhere in the area (we will have a car as we're driving down) - if anyone has any thoughts on that front, please share! My boys (6 and 10) are pretty good, adventurous eaters, but not too invested in a super sophisticated dining experience (so while their dad and I would probably lean towards, say, Napa Rose, that might not be the right thing for the family unit as a whole - though maybe Steakhouse 55 would be?).
Any thoughts appreciated, TIA!
