I agree, while I love the style of the great liners of the 30's, 40's and 50's, The cruiser stern and the raked bow. I am thrilled the S/S United States may be returning to service and they are keeping much of the original lines, the double stacks and the United States lines livery.
I don't think the duck tail will be that big a deal. After seeing it on the Magic a few times, it really is not that noticeable. The duck tail does more then add some stability, it reduces fuel consumption.
The Disney ship in general have much of the classical liner style, with the art deco and Nuvo style, They are all pretty ladies in there own classic ways.
I have no interest in the monster ships RCCL and NCL have built. Carnival, just no discussion with them period!
