May I suggest that if you are going to insist on running in the pouring rain on a 58 degree day in short shorts and t-shirt, that you invest in some rain gear? Yes I understand that you are training for a marathon. I truly admire your dedication to your chosen sport, but I also know that more often than not you are patient zero when it comes to the newest creeping crud being introduced to our office environment. We have all listened to you hack up a lung and sneeze repeatedly without covering your mouth and nose. There are those of us working around you that really can't physically afford to catch your summer cold/upper respitory infection. So maybe instead of surfing the web all day trying to find the best price on those $200.00 Nike running shoes, you can surf and find something more suitable to wear in inclement weather.

Well, your new workplace doesn't have a Miss Information, but it does seem to have a Mr. Clueless!

I'm confused...are you upset because the person comes in wet, or because they are constantly getting sick?
You do know that other than hypothermia you can't get sick from being cold or wet right? (well I guess you could get some gross foot fungus from wet running shoes. Ick!) If your concerned about this person passing on germs than rain gear isn't going to help the situation.

I'm thinking about what I will wear to run in the rain. DH doesn't wear rain gear to run in when it is nice (not cold). Hmm...everything seems too hot for running.

It's very comfortable to run in shorts and a t-shirt in that weather. The only accomodation I make for rain is to wear a hat with a brim to keep the rain from running down my face. I always dress like it's 20 degrees warmer than it really is when I run. I've never found that it made me more susceptible to getting sick.

Wow didn't think this was going to be taken so seriously. Oh well. I will tell you this man claims he gets sick if he has ice in his drink, so to see him after work running in the rain just seemed a little ludicrous to me. Sorry should have given some background and added some laughing smilies.

LOL! Sorry, I thought you really thought that him getting wet and cold was contributing to his frequent illness.
There is a lady in my husbands office that feels like you need to dress for the season or you'll get sick. Like literally.
It doesn't matter if it's 85 degrees out, if it's still fall or winter according to the calender, she is wearing a heavy winter coat. Because she doesn't want to get sick!
I always think "umm... I get that you think you'll get a cold, but it looks like your about 5 seconds away from a heat stroke!"

I ran in the rain today in shorts and T-shirt! It was fabulous. I love running in a light rain. It helps with getting over heated!
