I am looking to purchase some Disney items from eBay before going on our next trip. I was looking on eBay and looked at dealsatdisney and they say they are The Walt Disney Company selling on eBay. However the feedback is awful. Even though they have a 97% positive reating, their are so many neutrals and negatives too. They have made their feedback private. Has anyone purchased from them before? What was your experience like?

it's really only about 1% of their total feedback that is neutral and or negative. That's really not that bad. I've bought stuff from them and they have never been untruthful about the condition of the item and their auctions usually clearly state how long shipping will take. I usually get my item within 2 weeks unless otherwise stated.

I also have gotten stuff from disneydeals and have no complaints. Everything came in Excellent condition and in the time frame that they gave for shipping.

I keep watching their auctions for that certain extra special something for DD for Christmas that I know I can't find around here.

I have purchased from Disney Deals as well as Disney Auctions off of eBay. I have had nothing but positive experiences. If you look at the thousands of transactions they have done, it's no wonder that some of that time, you are going to see a neutral or negative feedback. I would be leery of a seller with only 100 feedbacks and a 97 rating, but with the volume that they do, I can't gripe. Give them a chance. Maggie

I have been buying Disney items before our trip too. "Tinkerbell" is leaving one little gift for my DD4 each night while she is sleeping. I figured this way, we will be less tempted to shop while we are there. I am doing this on a budget but I still want it to be fun. I
have found lots of great things in unexpected places. At Kohl's I bought a tink bathingsuit on clearance for $5, an Ariel bubble set for $3. At our Job Lot store I found a Toy Story puzzle for $2. I also got lots of little things at the Disney Store on clearance like those Magic Towels that expand in water. Those were something like $1-2. At WalMart, I found a really cool capri and tee set for $6 that has Mickey on it.
If you are hesitant about eBay, you can find great deals in other places.
Good Luck!

I would like top see them make their feedback public to see what the neutrals and negatives are.

My thought is that people don't pay attention to the shipping prices, which tend to be on the very high side and then give a bad rating due to that. Also, people probably do read and try to use PayPal or some other method which is not accepted.

I use them frequently for their fixed-price pins. I have from time to time made other purchases from them, but have been very aware of their shipping charges.

I've purchased quite a bit from them. Super customer service. Never a problem. There are "stupid" feedback people that think it is a ways of communication or don't realize how serious some people take it. I've seen people leave negative feedback back becuase an item doesn't fit. Well, if that were the case with Disney, you can't return it. So, I'm thinking that MOST of their feedback is probably silly stuff, and they might be better showing it so we'd all see that. Their negative feedback doesn't bother me.

I've bought many things from them and have never had a problem. :)

I've purchased from both their Deals & regular auctions. I've never had a problem!
Good Luck!
Christine

I buy from them all the time and have never had any problems. All merchandise that I have bought comes in it's original packaging with the retail tags attached so you can see the difference in the price you paid and the price they sell it for.

I love this place!!! I have ordered from them several times and never had a problem.

I probably own way too much of disney deals stuff. I redide my bedroom with disney deals. I have never had an issue with them.

I had a problem with a recent order -- bought a lamp and pieces of the lamp base had broken off.

As their ebay store page has very little contact info, I was having a very difficult time getting a hold of a real person. I tried sending e-mails to various addresses (one appeared on the site and the other was from an automated e-mail response when I tried to reply to the e-mail with my order confirmation). Weeks went by with no response.

Finally, when a second shipment came (for a different order), I noticed that a 1-800 number was printed on the top of the document. I called that number and finally got a hold of a person who told me what to do. She was very helpful. They gave me an e-mail address -- a very obscure address and clearly not something that is on their ebay webpage -- and asked me to send them a note with the info and a digital photo of the damage. Once I did that, I got a reply from them the same day advising that they were sending me a new lamp shortly. Just got it a couple of days ago.

So, if you have any problems, make sure you try to reach them using the 1-800 number on the invoice/packing slip included with the shipment.

OK, OK.. I am one of those complaining people I guess! :p LOL

I order from disneydeals WAYYY TOOO MUCH and I LOVE them!

But I have had to leave neutral feedback for them one time. I purchased two sets of mugs, each set had 4, and only received 1 mug each. I called and they were very nice and told me that apparently that happened to everyone who won those same auctions.

She asked if I wanted a refund, or to wait for more mugs. I opted to wait for the mugs. She said that they would go out and I would receive them in about 10 days. Well, 1 month later I finally got them. So I left neutral feedback due to the fact that it took over a month to get them to me.

But on the other hand.. I have left tons and tons of positive feedback! Since my positive feedback was first, my neutral didn't even count in their feedback rating, and since it is private, it was all a mute point!

Regardless... I find so many great deals there!

My latest one were some mickey :earsboy: hand lamps. I was going to purchase them at disney store.com for $50.00 each, but went searching at disneydeals for the heck of it.

And what did I find?? The exact same lamp...for $22!!! I got to purchase two lamps with shipping for less than one at ds.com!!

Not all negative feedback for DisDeals is unwarrented...at least from my recent experience. I recently won 3 auctions, one youth XL t-shirt, one pin, and 4 pairs of Mickey socks.
My auction was paid on Aug 29th. When my package arrived abt 5 days later, it only contained the pin and the T-shirt- which came in adult XL instead of youth.
I emailed Disney & have not yet heard a response. I called the 1-800 number on the invoice & spoke with a very kind & helpful customer service rep who informed me the computer "forgot" to send my socks & they needed to investigate the t-shirt size. Basically, even though I paid for my items 20 days before my Disney vacation (we leave Sunday) I will only have my pin.
So where exactly am I supposed to wear 4 pairs of mickey puffball socks in New Jersey?

"So where exactly am I supposed to wear 4 pairs of mickey puffball socks in New Jersey?"

Why, at the grocery store, of course! You need to wear them with those scuff slippers, some capri jeans with a pajama top, and rollers in your hair ;)

But seriously, I'm a diehard buyer of disney deals and disney auctionears stuff, and haven't had a bad experience yet. The latest goodies I scored were a Monsters, Inc. pumpkin carving kit (my DD3 looks a lot like Boo), and a little fleece Minnie cap for our trip to WDW in December :D

I have had good experiences with both disney deals and disney auctions. Got DH a great POTC prop item for x-mas last year from Disney auctions! Have gotten some cool Jasmine stuff for DD through Deals.

When I won the pirates prop, I didn't think it would get here in time for X-mas so I called and offered to pay more for shipping. The lady was so nice that she upgraded the shipping for free; and the item arrived with a couple days to spare before the holiday.

The only problem I had with them is for one of my auctions, the checkout email never arrived. They kept telling me to turn off my spam filter and I kept telling them that I didn't have one LOL. Fortunately I was able to call them at the number I had from a previous auction and pay over the phone.
