Over the last year or so there seems to have been a fair few offers/deals coming out up DLP when booking. Ranging from a % off your stay, extra nights free, free dining plans etc.

How long does a deal generally last for? Is it a case of them changing the 'main' deal every few weeks/months?

Also, am I correct in thinking these offers are always for visits taken within the next six months or so? Are there ever long-term deals where it's cheaper to book a year in advance?

Still looking at the proposal concept (see my thread 'A Disneyland Proposal from about a month ago, prob on the next page) for next October (2014). I'm just wondering if it'll be best to book straight away once the tickets/hotels are released this Autumn, or if I should hang back a few months and see if something better comes along?

I know that's potentially a 'piece of string' question as nobody knows what offer they're going to release next, just trying to gauge just how cheap I can get a room at the DLH, and how fast they reach capacity?

And on the same subject, what's the BIGGEST/BEST discount or offer DLP have come up with over the last few years.....?

It's a bit of a hit and miss really

We've benefitted from 40% a few times in the past - these are normally offered after the original 'book in advance deals'. We've also had 50% flash sales which I think are by far the best.

Not had any of these so far and I think a lot of us (including me) expected a 50% flash sale recently when the last deal finished. It was offered in other countries, but not here, which makes me think they may do it later on in the year, possibly after 30 June when the current offer finishes. But...these are usually for travel within a couple of months of the offer date. So a bit last minute.

I've never booked very far in advance with the early booking offers, but I'm sure i've heard others say that they can be a good deal, as when they do bring out 40% and 50% offers, they often up the 'rack rate' first! So, you don't really get a full discount.

One thing is for sure though, I would NEVER pay full brochure price. Firstly, I could never afford it, and secondly there is always a deal to be had ;)

I think 2 days and 2 nights free/50% flash deals are as good as it gets, so if you see one of these for your dates then get booking!
We booked in february for our trips in May and in December with the book 2 nights get 2 nights free offer. Every offer that has since come out, I have been pricing up for my dates and nothing comes close to what we paid:banana::banana:
the closest deal is the current free half board one, but even that is 250 euros more then what we paid even once the value of the HB is deducted

With the flash sale in 2011, it came out in July as I literally had a few weeks to prepare a trip for the end of August! Was manic!
