Dealing with Evil Nasty People

The last 3 summers I worked at a professional sports field (not the majors) and there were always some interesting folks always around. Needless to say, overtime they developed a fond dislike for me, because I guess I got to close to the guys or something.

Anways, I've gone a few times this summer, as well as tonight, and am now being referred to as a slut, and they even have taken the time to write a song about me, and how I am one. I know words aren't suppose to hurt, but my anger for these people just bugs me! In my defense, I've never had anything to do with any man, nor have I ever wore anything non-appropriate.

WTH? How old are these people? It sounds like a high school thing.

Can you sit in a different area away from them? If not, then maybe you should take a break from hanging out at the sports field.

I no longer work there, I am now at a year round job. The sad thing is, one of these ladies is over 50 years old! The rest are late 20's. I'm still a teenager. I have stayed away, have only gone to maybe 4 games this year, and have stayed away from them, but they are the type that literally stalk me out. I go to the games to support the friends I have on the team, and its something to do.

One of the younger ones is. I'm just not sure how to prove what they are doing KWIM? I could print out the facebook posts, but theres no way to prove she was referring to me (she was, but its known because of a long time of them doing this).

It just frustrates me. They are the ones who stand outside the door waiting for players to come out EVERY day. I've not done that this year at all. I dont dress in a provocative manor either. I know its just jealousy that is making them do this, but it just really frustrates me

Ignore them. It's a skill that takes a long time to develop, but it will serve you well throughout your life. Worry about your own behavior and your own happiness. You will only be hurt by them if you let it hurt you.

Go and have a good time in spite of them. It makes them look stupid in front of the people they are trying to impress. When they start, try pointing your cell phone at them, and record it, then upload it on youtube with the name of the team and the words Fans or Freaks?

Like:

Toronto Maple Leaf Fans or Freaks?

That way they pop up when someone looks for a youtube of the team.

Even better if you get a friend to video them from someplace other than where you are sitting, so they can't say you did it.

HR was the first thing eliminated at a lot of companies when the economy tanked.
