Saw this last night in a sold out theater. When our beloved Captain Jack made his first appearance, the entire theater broke into applause. pirate:

Not sure I enjoyed it as much as the first one, but loved seeing all the old characters again and Johnny Depp was once again charming as our beloved Captain Jack.

So....what did you think?

...and not to give anything away, but were you blown away with the final scene? I'd heard some spoilers, but definately not that one! ;)

Can't wait for the 3rd installment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

I was the only one in the theater who reacted to Captain Jack's first appearance...I think the audience was full of duds!

I liked the movie and the ending blew me away! Not what I expected AT ALL!

I hadn't heard any spoilers, and I think I did that on purpose... :teeth:

I enjoyed it also...as much as the first one... I am awaiting #3 for the return of the person who showed up at the end of the movie...you know who!
Did you stay thru the very end of the credits? You find out what hapened to one very short crew member :rotfl:

We got to the theater 40 minutes before the 5PM showtime and there were only about 10 people already there. We got seats in the very last row of the theater in the middle and I took a short nap. I awoke from my slumber 30 minutes later to a packed house.

We were definitely NOT with a bunch of duds. The audience cheered and applauded several times during the film, but especially when Depp appeared the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and was shocked to find out how long we had actually been in the theater. That is a sign of a good film when you lose track of time.

Did you stay through the credits? There was an extra surprise at the very end of the credits which made it worth the wait.

No, I didn't wait through the end of the credits. I should have known there would be something - considering how Curse of the Black Pearl ended. Our son was getting off work at 10:00 and needed to be picked up across town and I didn't even think about it until I was in the car. I KNEW I'd probably missed a surprise.

Would you mind sending me a PM and telling me what it was?

We were at the 11:15pm show at Downtown Disney last night. Everyone clapped when the movie started, cheered when Captain Jack Sparrow appeared, and then clapped & cheered when the movie was over.

Fun movie - Fun audience aaaarrrrrgggghhhhh pirate:

We had a great audience. A bunch of teens though so they all kind of boo'd at the very end credits scene. I guess none of them cared about what happened (I know I did) :p

They all did cheer when Sparrow showed up and about half of them were dressed up.

Since it was after 2:30 am when the movie ended the theater was more quiet than I thought it would be, but everyone seemed to be far more intent on watching the credits than anything else (probably so they wouldn't applaud over anything good).

I know I totally had no clue what time it was until the end (though I checked at one point out of curiosity and was shocked it was that late). I didn't even realize I was tired until I got home

So, you were the reason I couldn't get in! :rotfl: We tried to get tickets about 1pm yesterday at DTD. All showings were sold out.

I thought it was great. I'll have to see it a few more times to "catch" everything though...there are so many little things that you miss on the first run through.

I have to wait until DS comes back from out of town before seeing this. Aaaaarrrggghhh!!!! I love reading the comments but the waiting is killing me!!!
