So, last night while in bed, I was browsing Netflix to find a something to watch. Didn't really want a movie. Watched a Kathy Griffin stand up, I love her. I wish the D-List was Watch Instantly. Anyway, looked around in the TV category and found Dead Like Me. Saw that it had good reviews and was from one of the writers of Wonderfalls so I thought I'd give it a try. I watched the pilot and one episode. Not quite sure what to make of it yet. So far, it's good. And who doesn't love Mandy Patinkin? Any fans out there?

Oh yea. I have seen the entire series a couple of times. They even have a "wrap up movie" that does not include Mandy.

It is in my top ten. I wish it was never cancelled.:guilty:

I SOOOO miss this series...I recently re-watched the entire series with my DH as he had not seen them...

It gets a lot better...they first few are kinda odd, but that is to get the story going. I promise, stick with it, you wont be sorry.

I loved Mason, he was was my fav...He is on Smallville, playing a villan no less, and I have a hard time seeing him play that role..I still see him as Mason..

I wonder what ever happened to the lead actress. She was utterly outclassed, from the start, but I think she still held her own very well despite that.

I loved it - especially when they replaced the Noxema Girl - Rebecca Gayheart. But, it was cancelled after two seasons and the movie is absolutely horrible so don't waste your time. Sometimes it seems like all the good shows are cancelled before they have a chance. :(

Another big fan--DH and I both loved it. We have all the seasons on DVD. It had such quirky characters. :thumbsup2

Great! Looks like I found a new show to watch this summer...and thank God for the Wii. I can upload it to the tv now. I'm all set :goodvibes

It is on Hulu too.

I like the lady that played Daisy. She was also on "Defying Gravity"
I liked it too.

I agree with pp about the movie. Totally skippable

I've seen it many times, as well as the little movie thing they made. I think it's one of the better shows out there. The movie was OK, I think Daisy really needed to be played by Laura Harris and not Sarah Wynter and I really missed Mandy not being there. Oh well. It was worth a watch, as well as the whole series, especially since it's short.

I recently found it on Netflix, too! I've watched most of the first season now. It is quirky and off beat (good things in my book!) and I love Mandy Patinkin!

I loved Dead Like Me. Christine Willis who played Delores had a recurring role in Reaper another show I truly miss. I have mixed feelings about the Dead Like Me movie. I loved the scenes with George and her family but I hated the new Daisy and the character who was supposed to replace Rube.

I liked the series too, offbeat is a very good way to describe it, I'd add artsy. Right now I'm watching "Wire in the Blood" but the new "Saving Grace" releases soon so that will be my next selection. I LOVE my Netflix.

I've got a crush on Mason, its got to be the accent.

Why are british accents so appealing? Someone could be as dumb as can be, but if they speak with a british accent, suddenly they are geniuses and if someone is kind of hot, they become very hot. :rotfl:

Must be an American thing...not sure if people from other countries are nearly as fascinated. :confused3

To me, they also sound more polite, even if they are saying something nasty. idk why.

Ahhh, ya'll are getting ahead of me!!! Who are Daisy and Delores? That's ok, you don't have to tell me. I plan on watching a few more episodes tonight.

A friend tried to get me to watch "Dead Like Me" quite some time ago. I thought, "Ugh, a show about grim reapers... whatever." and didn't even try it. Then, one day, I stumble across it on Sci-Fi without realizing what it was. Imagine my surprise. I LOVED IT!!! I have the first season on DVD, but haven't gotten the second season yet. Great, great show. Very unusual.

And I love Mason, too.

I liked Dead like me. I miss it. Daisy was the grown up girl from Nickelodeon's show "Fifteen" she was Ashley. lol. I also miss Reaper. I loved sock.
