DD just called from MGM....she got there at noon today (they got a late start because she was sick all night from whatever it was she ate for dinner at the Whispering Canyon Cafe on thursday night   )...

anyway, she said there hasn't been a line anywhere except at Toy Story Mania - where the standby line is 30 minutes long....

there weren't even lines at ToT or RnRC.....

this is the 3rd park that hasn't had any lines so far for them...
they arrived on wed (sept 3rd) and started with the Magic Kingdom where she said everything was a walk on (except for peter pan with a 30 minute wait)...

yesterday was animal kingdom, where everything was a walk on except for EE - which she can't do anyway, so it didn't matter...

so maybe the hurricanes scared people away?....the free diners must be there, but maybe no one else is?

hopefully, their luck with lines will continue through the rest of their stay!!

Great news about the lack of queues :thumbsup2

Shame she was sick - hope she is feeling better now

Maybe they are all trying to maximize their free dining and too busy eating to ride!

Hope your DD feels better

:rotfl:

thanks, yes i'm sure she's feeling better...i doubt she would have ridden ToT (twice in a row) had she still felt ill...:)

when she called she was heading over to brave the line at toy story mania...

this was the same for us No wait for ToT or RnRC
Toy story mania---190 min wait and fast pass all gone this was around 12.30

Lucky her! :cool1: I bet most are in schools now. Except the lil ones which is why PP has a line. I wish I could go this time of year, sounds great!

Exactly, by 9/3 pretty much everyone is back in school. Sept is an awesome time to go. :goodvibes

i haven't heard from her as to what it was like on friday evening at epcot....

i did see another diser's post (in his live report) that epcot was packed on friday night - since it was the only park open to the general public..

i'm waiting to hear from DD how it went...
she had an ADR for chefs de france, so i'm really curious how it was...

I missed something, why was it the only park open for general on Friday?

yesterday (sept 5) the magic kingdom and the disney studios both required 'hard tickets' for entry.

the magic kingdom had its first halloween party and the studios had the Night of Joy. Both of these events require a separately purchased ticket.

and Animal Kingdom is closed at night (it closed at 5 PM).

So that left only Epcot for anyone who hadn't purchased a ticket for night of joy or the halloween party.
