When DD "graduated" pre-school last week, her "yearbook" listed her life's ambition - to be an "ice girl".

Later, I asked her what she meant. Well, we have Rita's Ice shop down the street, so she wants to be and "ice girl" so she "can make people happy by giving them ices. It's so yummy - people are always smiling."

I will keep that yearbook forever... :flower:

:goodvibes Very cute.

I'll share a cute one too, since the mood around here could use it. I went to visit the kids I used to babysit, who I take to the movies a lot. The little guy, who is six, told me about the movies he saw on vacation, one of them being March of the Penguins. I asked him if he liked it, and he did, a lot. Then I asked him if it was sad, cause I don't like animal movies cause they're always sad and he knows that. (His sisters used to torment me, ON PURPOSE, by forcing me to watch Charlotte's Web with them when they were little.)

His answer:

"Well, a little, but it was good. It was about love."

I love that kid.

That is so sweet! You are going to have one awesome little girl, this young and her first priority is already bringing magic into the lives of others! That's rare these days!

i found my pre school yearbook after reading this

"my hero is:my mommy and daddy
my best friend is:Amanda and Jordan and Colleen
when i grow up I want to be: Belle at Disney world"

funny thing is I still want to be belle at disney world...and I'm 14!

Yeah, my DD is pretty great. Not sure how or why - I don't feel like I've done anything special to make her so kind and caring. When she heard on the news that that he Astrodome was looking for children's videos, she started packing up her DVDs - I hadn't even said anything!

Do you still know Amanda, Jordan or Colleen?

My amibition in high was to be the first female AG - that was ruined about a year after I graduated.

So cute!!! I was thinking an Ice Skater at first.... For the longest time every time that pharmacutical commercial with Dorothy Hamill came on DD4 wanted to be an ice lady! She was so mad the day she heard the music coming from the TV and ran in to realize they changed it from ice skating to some guy digging clams on the beach!

She'd make me very happy, we don't have a Rita's nearby anymore!

My younger son used to say he was going to be a 'master face maker' at WDW when he grew up. He's got a rubber face, so it was funny to hear that he was going to make a living at it-he'd say it would make people laugh.

That's cute. :)

My aunt got stopped by the Sunday School teacher one day when her DDs were little. The teacher had asked the children say what they wanted to be when they grew up, and one of my cousins said she wanted to be a hooker, and the other said she wanted to be a bookie. :earseek: Turns out the "hooker" wanted to be a fitting room attendant and hang up clothes, and the "bookie" wanted to be a librarian. :rotfl:

When DS graduated preschool I was at rehearsal. They each got to go to the mike and say what they wanted to be when they grew up. He had decided he wanted to be a race car driver and did a good job saying it.
ok
We go to the actual graduation. My DS proudly goes to the mike and they ask him the question and he replies............a vampire..........
I have no idea where he got that from, but we still love to tease him about that and he likes to see the tape of it every so often.

Colleen still lives across the street and we get together everyso often but we are in Home Room this year!!!

Jordan and I made conformation in in April together and we try to keep in touch se recently made the minutmaids soccer team :cheer2:

Amanda moved to FL when we were all 9. We lost touch until recently when she did a myspace search for me. She will be competing in the Jr. Olymics of horse back riding!

although none of us are best friends...we are still really close!

haha thats great!

Kids are just so dang cute! In kindergarten DD wanted to be a cat when she grew up. She loves cats but now is thinking more on the lines of being a vet, which has better earning potential then a cat :rotfl2: .

Isn't that sweet -

My little 5 year old told the lady at Fiord's Ice Cream shop that she wanted to be an ice cream lady just like her when she grows up.

The lady behind the counter asked "It is very hot work - why do you want to be an ice cream lady?"

DD answered "Because you always make everyone so happy!! I think it would be fun to make everyone happy!!"

My daughter wants to be a pet sitter when she grows up. But her best friend, in her preschool yearbook answered, "When I grow up, I want to be... a butterfly." I think that is so cute!
