DD's first Homecoming...update #37...

Okay, my turn to brag...this is her first homecoming, first dance with a boy...she came out of the house, and he was poking his friend going..."uh...uh...uh..."

Here are the pics of them....

Bobby and Dee...she was so happy to have found a date that was taller than her...she even has on 3" heels!!

Bobby brought her flowers in addition to her corsage, and she was wearing the ring that belonged to her gramma (passed away last month) so I got a shot of that.

He is a really nice boy, and really seems to like her....hope they are having a great time!!

Beautiful!!!! Seems like just yesterday we were doing the same thing at our house each year, time flies. What a nice looking bunch of kids. And I was going to comment on the ring even before I saw the caption. Very nice.

Let me tell you about the flowers...I asked his mom if it was her idea for him to get those...she said no, that was his idea. THEN, my dd's friend was checking out the flowers. She goes "oh, there is the fake one" and Bobby gets all embarassed because he thinks his surprise for Dee was ruined. ???
So, I give dee's friend a hug goodbye and ask her, "what is with the flowers?" and she tellls me....get this...."he put one fake flower in with the real ones. He attached a note to that one that read: I will stop liking you when all these flowers die" aaaawwwww.....

Yeah, I got all my mom's rings...I know, kinda selfish. But my sis didn't want them, and my DD really wanted one of them. So, I have mom's wedding set and I gave DD the emerald ring. SHe just cherishes that ring. I hold on to it and let her wear it for special occasions.

This was her first time wearing it.

There are 2 middle schools and 2 high schools in our town. They have the same boundary lines, so they never met until about 2 weeks ago. She was playing in her first Volleyball game. Next thing I know, he is telling DD's best buddy he has to meet her.

He calls her the next nite and tells her he saw her play, that she was really good, and he thought she was really pretty. Not hot, not georgeous, but pretty. I find that classy.

Also, when I met his mom tonite, we realized they went to preschool together!!
