My eldest DD wants to go into hairdressing, she has already just about completed her NVQ Level 1 at a local college as part of a day release scheme from school.

She's applied to go to the college after here GCSEs to continue with her NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in hairdressing. Then she saw a job advert. in the local paper for an Apprentice Hair Stylist at a local salon. The job would include day release at college and in salon training, so she sent of her CV and covering letter (expertly prepared by me :) )
She got a phone call the day after she posted the application asking her to come for an interview :)

Her interview is tomorrow (10th) so fingers crossed :)

Tell her the best of luck, a good career - especially in this day of £100 haircuts, and hair will always grow!! :goodvibes

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for her.

i will keep my fingers crossed for her, wish her good luck from all of us :grouphug:

Thanks for all your good wishes :)

DD got on very well and liked the salon and the women that runs it. They have asked her to go in on Friday afternoon for a trial :)

So, it's looking good :)

Way to go, Tim's DD :cool1: Hope she enjoys her trial on Friday.

And remember Tim, when ALL your hair falls out, isn't baldness sposed to be a sign of virility ;)
