It is official....DD and her Fiancee have booked their cruise and she has been talking with the wedding coordinator for the Cruiseline!!!:yay: We will be sailing on the November 8, 2009 Wonder Cruise. So now I am looking for any previous Cruiseline Brides out there who may have a few answers to questions.....

1. I thought I had read on here somewhere that you CAN ship boxes ahead of time to have them delivered to the stateroom and not have to carry them on yourself, is this true or untrue?? Can we ship things ahead or do we have to bring it on ourselves, like if she wanted tomake welcome bags for gifts??

2. Sand Ceremony we are still trying to find this answer out and she asked the coordinator she is also checking on this one will update you on this.

Invitations are in the mail, I will post a picture of them when I actually get MINE in the mail I haven't seen them as of yet since she is in Texas and I am in Pennsylvania....I am so looking forward to adding to this as it unfolds. I am just so happy that they found a way to do this without having to wait another year, they were becomming a bit down thinking they would have to save an extra year for a Disney Wedding....Thanks to everyone here who has answered questions so far hope there is more help out there.

I just did a sand ceremony on the Wonder in September. If I can answer any questions, just let me know.

Thank You ladies.....I have read both of your Planning journals and they are a great help. It just seems as though the lady DD is dealing with right now is not totally informed about it all. DD asked if she could ship things to the ship ahead of time and she told her "NO" she called the cruiseline yesterday and they said "YES" as long as it had a packing slip attatched to the box, there is no food in the box, and they have to be there the Friday before the ship leaves Port. There are no limits to how many boxes you can ship and a few other things I can't remember all of them.

She told DD her reservation would be updated in a day or so and she would be receiveing the Wedding info Packet in the mail in a couple days. It is just hard since she is so far away and it is hard to get in touch with one another with our work schedules and so on. I am trying to keep up on as much as I can and pass it on to her as I find it out.

Did either of you girls do Welcome Bags for your guests?? If so what all did you inclue in them?? I thought I had ordered Beach Towels on the Disney Site it let me place the Order and even put in my account number for payment then I get an e-mail yesterday saying they are out of stock....I was a bit angry as it said they were available when I ordered them, guess I will have to keep searching for those.

Any other info you can give would be appreciated thanks again.......

Yeah for your dd!! She's about a month before me! Did she choose CC or onboard?? Can't wait to see the invitation and all the wonderful stuff she'll choose!! You should bring her over here!!

I did not do welcome bags..Is she dealing with Cathy? There isn't much they can do this far out from the wedding..I had to wait till the 12 month mark to book, and then I had very little contact until about 150 days before the cruise. It is a downside of the DCL DFTW..you don't have the same type of wedding planner as WDW

There are some restrictions on shipping boxes...head over the the Cruise board and there is a thread about it

I keep telling her to "come on over and join us" .....lol I do believe that she thinks I give her enough updates....I will post each and everything that she does just incase it will help anyone else out.

Right now they want to have the Ceremony on the ship so that anyone who chooses to join them can simply "enjoy" Castaway she is thinking of the guests and their fun also which I understand.

I will jump over to the Cruise Boards and check out that post about shipping before hand ..thanks for that info.
