DD'S Back at school---anyone else missing kids?

My girls started back to school this Monday and even though I am enjoying my "ME" time, I am also missing them and look forward to them getting off the bus! Anyone else going through the Back To School Blues?

I thought I would be but DS went Mon and Tue and then today and tomorrow were cancelled by Fay LOL Hes NOT happy. He wants to go to school

My kids started school a week ago, and I am still missing them during the day. I am getting lots of cleaning done, but I still wish they were home with me sometimes! I do enjoy my "me" time also, but the day doesn't go by fast enough sometimes! My substitute teaching jobs will be kicking in, I am sure, in the next week or so. Then, I will be running all over the place!!! The summer just went way too fast, and now they are taking NWEA testing already! CRAZY!!!!

Mine do not go back until Tuesday and I'm ready to get rid of them LOL.
I'm sure I'll miss them once they are gone.

Yep, they started back yesterday, and by 9:00, I was crazy. They get out at 3:30, but I was in line today at 2:30!! I can't stand it when they are not with me!

I have one going back tomorrow and one going back on Monday. I also have to return to work tomorrow since I work for the school district.

I really think I'm going to miss them! I'm used to hanging out with them all day, every day. We've been enjoying staying up late to watch the Olympics together. Tonight, it's bedtime at 9:00 p.m. for everyone!!!

We went back a month ago and now I am finally in the groove of things, I miss them but we go on cycle break in a few weeks though!

Not at the moment...DS has been in day camp all summer so I got used to not having him around all the time. Ask me this question again in June, when DS is back in summer camp and I'm going crazy at 3pm waiting for the bus to pull up...

Mine don't go back until Sept. 4th and I am so ready to send them back! I think they are finally reaching the point of boredom. I'll still have the 1 and 2 years old home with me so it won't be too lonely. I'm actually looking forward to some quiet time with them.

My son starts kindergarten next week and can't wait to go! I am already thinking that I am going to miss him so much! I think I might cry when he gets on the bus for the first time. Thankfully my other son has 3 more weeks until his preschool starts.

Ours are start back on Aug. 27th here in CT. and I'm planning on taking a box of tissuses for my DW because we'll be putting all three in school. Our oldest will be in fifth grade and his last year in the school, our daughter will be starting second grade and our little guy will start kindergarten and we'll just have the baby home with us all day.
So, my DW will be missing tham all yes, and me too.

Mine went back on the 12th.....and it was something new this year! DD is in 1st grade (DS is in 5th) so it is the first time in 10 1/2 years that I've been home alone all day! Very odd to have the house so quiet for so many hours! On the other hand, we have a major home improvement project going on that has taken much, much longer than originally planned due to some unforeseen problems (we're doing all the work ourselves), so I've been able to get some stuff done while they're gone. Still miss them though!
