DD went to the Bad News Bears remake audition today. When she got there, the asked her about her baseball experience. She told them that she had played some neighborhood games, but nothing else. They said "Thanks for coming. Goodbye". They didn't even let her run the lines that she'd memorized. I wish they had just said that they were looking for baseball players and that actors need not apply. Seems a shame she spent time memorizing the script they sent for nothing.

That's a shame...
I'm sorry she had to go through it for nothing :(
I hope next time goes better for her.

I'm sorry to hear that, especially after she has probably been practising really hard.

They should have mentioned that from the start so that your daughter and other people who auditioned didn't get their hopes up.

The harsh realities of professional auditions!!

I saw a guy get kicked out once because they didn't like his name.

At least she was a professional about it and didn't throw a hissy fit like others I've seen!!

With looks like that, and talent to back it up, I'm sure she'll get a break soon, don't worry!

So sorry to hear that....just wait, the Perfect Role will be around the corner!

I'm sorry they didn't make that clear to begin with. It seems like they wasted a lot of people's time.

I hope to hear some good news next time.

They were dumb to waste their own time like that.
Sorry she was disappointed. I guess she could chalk
it up to interviewing experience. Sorry!

Best luck for the next time. At least she was honest with them. I bet a lot of auditioners lied about their baseball skills. As for the Bad News Bears, it's going to be tough to top the original movie.

Sorry to hear that  They really should have put that in the audition byline so the wouldn't have to wade through unneccesary people. It would have benefited everyone.

So sorry to hear about the audition. Auditioning in the real world can be a nasty experience.

Give people a little power and look what they do. Don't worry, there's another great role just waiting in the wings for a very talented girl who doesn't know alot about baseball.:D

Such is the life of an actor.:( My High School friend aspired to an acting career when she moved out west 10 years ago. Sometimes she would get dismissed just by her "look". Your DD is young. Hope it doesn't get her down. Actresses face more rejection than acceptance before they "make it big", unless they are really lucky.

Isn't the Bad News Bears an all boy baseball team? This time around, they are also probably looking for mainly minorities.

Isn't the Bad News Bears an all boy baseball team?

think Tatum O'Neil.

sorry about the audition. Tell her next time just to fake it. :p

Sorry for your daughter, but she's probably better off. Didn't they beat "The Bad News Bears" horse to death long ago?

I know how she feels. I got booted once from an audition for a soap because I was too short. I think I was about 9 or 10 at the time and I was devistated. It's a yucky feeling being rejected for something you can't help.

Tell her to hang in there! Keep at it and she will find a role that's worthy of her talents!
